You are confusing the word excuse. You tell me champ, would it even be possible... in a legal sense, for the federal government to enter into a contract with private business to autonomously fund governmental opperations?

if you know of any federal statute which allows this, please cite.

HE BROKE the law as it was passed by providing subsidies to the Congress and other including the White House STAFF. Those subsidies are NOT IN THE LAW.

Those were the TWO THINGS the House requested to fund the thing. But NO. His Highness made the illegal deals and refuses to make it right now.

Here are the 9 LAWFUL exemptions as codified. NOTE there is no mention of BUSINESSES or POLITICIANS or White House STAFF.

Checkmate. At least familiarize yourself with the facts. You people are a bunch of zombies fighting for the ELITE to trounce YOUR OWN RIGHTS. FFS. Wake up.
The decision to delay the law is nothing new, past Presidents have delayed implimentation of laws in the past.
The "breaking" of the law by exempting Congress is pure bull**** - it didn't happen.

It was stated a wide swath of the bay would be closed, But he can't shut down the ocean. He is not ruler of the universe. He cannot tell the sun to stay home either. That said, this whole shutdown fiasco gets more wacky and unnecessary by the day. The circus is going strong though! I mean, All those clowns......

If the House wants to get the budget passed it has to be something acceptable to the Senate and the President.

It's already been made clear that the stopping or even delaying of Obamacare is NOT going to happen (top GOP folks have ADMITTED as much). Now the GOP is simply looking for some kind of concession to save face (also already admitted).

The GOP-controlled House can hold out as long as they want - it will be THEM who pay the price in the next election.

Ken
The House will not approve any expenditures of tax payer's monies, especially expenditures connected with Obamacare, until changes are made to Obamacare. They are just doing their job.

So Obama specifically told them no, that the state cannot fun it? You Obama haters are getting more and more ridiculous.
Why doesn't the great state of Arizona kick the feds out and run the canyon themselves.

You're mincing words - no matter WHAT you call it, it's a budget.

It takes more people on the job to enforce a shutdown than if the government was functioning with some sense of normality.

Furthermore, you fail to admit that OBAMACARE THE LAW OF THE LAND was CHANGED by OBAMA.

The current law is NOT as it was passed.

Your argument is invalid.

Actually, major pieces of legislation rarely remain the same as the day the president signs them into law.

The Medicare prescription drug benefit, passed under President George W. Bush, was changed several times after its initial passage.

Both that law and the recent health care law lay a government program on top of a complex private market system, said Ted Marmor, a professor of health policy at Yale University.

"Patches on a patchwork mean making a coherent quilt very difficult," Marmor said.

Even though the country had about two years to get ready for the Medicare drug program, about the same as with Obamacare, some pieces were not in place when the program launched, said Jack Hoadley, a research professor at the Health Policy Institute at Georgetown University.

"States were worried that bunches of people would show up on Jan. 1, 2005, and not be able to get their prescription drugs," Hoadley said. "So some of them started picking up the tab."

Later, Hoadley said, the Bush administration pulled money from another fund to reimburse the states.

Seems that you have not done the research and are using a strawman to give your flawed argument legs.
