Mom who chose cannabis over chemo could lose custody of son | News - Home
Should be the parent's right not the State.
The chemo was killing him.

Horrible story. And yes it should be the parent's right. But again we live in an age of progressivism and "it takes a village..."

This is definitely unfair. The chemo was doing more harm that good and the parent wanted what she thought was best for the child. Thus far, we can't prove she was wrong on her decision.

She should absolutely be able to retain custody of her child.

this is just another reason why CPS and the government need to be reigned in severely. while i disagree with the mothers methods, they do seem to be effective.

Would a poll or formal petition help in any way?

I disagree completely. Medical marijuana is not designed to cure anything.

This old-world idea that parents "own" a child is terribly outdated, and parents do not always make the best decisions for their children.

It's rare I feel child protective services should intercede, and based on a news story we only really know one side of the story, but I would err on CPS side based on what I read.

Why would you blame this on progressives since they would love to legalize pot. Cannibus has many healing properties which republicans refuse to acknowledge.

Seriously, if her child is in remission where is the cause for further investigation? Is the doctor pissed the child got well? I've often wondered why it is that when you need your body's immune system to work overtime doctors seem to want to kill it.

What is the criteria?

Do we hold that Mom dear can put her son on a cranberry and lollipop diet to cure his cancer?

Or that the kid is to be cured by prayers over his body by a whole congregation?

Rather than blaming CPS where is the point at which they can and should intervene?

Remission is not cure... The chemo brought it into remission but need more chemo to give a better chance of cure... The mother doesn't want more chemo... That is the issue... Marijuana is a red herring... Journalism isn't what it used to be...
