Apparently they've never heard of the Officer Friendly program in Arizona. When Scott Urkov got a call from officials at Entz Elementary School in Mesa, it wasn't to summon him for a meeting with his daughter's teacher. It was to ask the officer on the Coolidge police force if he'd please wear civilian clothes when dropping her off in the morning, as some parents were alarmed their children had come home talking about a gun-packing cop
Liberals and the pinnacle of their thinking.
Of course, they wouldn't want to endanger their criminal parents and their children.
By all means though, teach the kids about drugs and sex, lying, and cheating, and no consequences ,fear the police man and guns, neglect the constitution, and civic responsibility.
That is what makes America puke.

I suspect this is a thread with little actual substance in the truth, and is designed to troll for embittered responses.
Whether this actually happened or not, I don't think this is a fair comment. You don't know the parents' political views, nor their motivations. You are assuming.
I agree that the parents should NOT be alarmed by the presence of a police officer on campus. We were raised to respect our police, and all other civil workers that served and protected the community and I see no reason, liberal or conservative, that this view should change. I believe the school should've addressed the parents concerns differently, if this actually happened.
