A question for the Christian conservatives...

why is it that when the subject of SSM or Abortion comes up, anyone who reads your posts gets a Sunday Sermon.
But on subjects like imigration and Obamacare you never quote verses about dealing with the sick and the old and the dirty sleazy rotten poor... or foreigners?

God only loves conservatives that fight family planing. After the zygote hatches it's on its own. It becomes a parasite sucking on the teat of society.

In my opinion, a fetus only becomes a viable human being when it graduates from medical school and buys its parents a condo. But, I'm not a Christian.

Immigration is fine when done legally. Immigration done illegally should not be done. It's a law issue - not a poor issue. Romans 13 - follow your government for they are ministers of God. Yes that includes Obama.

ObamaCare - Paul encouraged that if you do not work, you will not eat. Kinda speaks to the whole entitlement mindset. Also on occasion, the Bible deals with over reaching governments that put heavy burdens on the poor.

Regarding the poor - people should freely give (charity) to the poor. It is not good for governments to force transfers of money from one segment of society to another. What we have today is people in government expressing fake charity as though they care about the poor - they give other people's money, but they don't give their own money.

Then since abortion is legal, Obamacare is law, and SSM is being discussed at the federal level, isn't it a Christians job to just go along with it?

What does Paul say about an unfair economy where healthcare isn't something that's provided for everyone, and if people - even those who DO work, don't have enough money they won't have access to proper healthcare?

I really am curious where in the Bible Jesus addresses where it's not good for government to help the poor.
Also, are you suggesting that in this country where I believe most of our "charities" are in existence to make the CEO's of said "charities" wealthy, that charity is going to get a poor man that liver transplant that he needs?

No - you always follow God's principles first. Just because humans are off - doesn't mean it cancels out God's principles. People who convert from Islam to Christianity go through this all the time in the middle east. Follow the law and follow Islam, or follow Christ. That's why so many Christians go to jail over there.

Health care is not a right. What do Christians in Africa do? They don't have ObamaCare.

You pray. You get what ever medicine is needed that you are able to get. In the end, God knows our beginning and end physically - but repent and return to Him so that your spirit will not perish.

The Bible does not state anything about governments giving money. It does say INDIVIDUALS should give, or at least look out for the interest of the poor, widowed, orphaned, etc.

The Bible does say that you should not steal. It's not OK for "person A" to break into my house and take money. Are you telling me it should be OK for government to take money to give to "person A" through the tax code?

Nothing. He doesn't say anything about the Internet or airplanes either. No one is guaranteed a long or healthy life.

Research the role of government in our country.....the real lawful role.

Do you even read the Bible?
Luke 20-22
22 Is it right for us to pay taxes to Caesar or not?”
23 He saw through their duplicity and said to them, 24 “Show me a denarius. Whose image and inscription are on it?”
“Caesar’s,” they replied.
25 He said to them, “Then give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.”

Pay your darn taxes and quit bitching. After all the bible or Jesus tells you to. So do what Jesus tells you to.
