How Has the Government Shutdown Affected You?

Congress has two jobs to do: pass a budget and pay its bills. But earlier this week, Congress failed to pass legislation to fund the government, and now many vital service

This is all they have, so pathetic. Meanwhile Reid refuses to pass funding for the NIH and children with cancer "Why would i want to do that?"

Harry Reid will pass it when he is handed a clean bill that doesn't try to re-litigate past GOP defeats.

Funny to watch tea party types act like they care about the NIH or children with cancer when they are the ones who decided to use them as hostages in the first place to re-litigate their losses. Of course, they don't care much about anyone's "sob stories," because they don't represent the American people (only 22% approval rating..much worse than Obama's or the Democrats').

Sounds like non-essential personnel right there, if he has to dream up work for himself. Why isn't he sitting at home with all the others. And why is that website up and running? It's not needed for protection of life or property.

Interesting how you ignore the fact that Reid refused to pass a budget, for five years now.

Boehner has been essentially standing behind a pile of money for a week, saying "Here you go, Reid, 0bama, here is all the money needed to run the government!! Now, can you come over here and negotiate a few points dealing with the Affordable Care Act?"

And Reid and 0bama cross their arms, turn away and say "NO! We're winning!"Then they run off to the TV cameras and accuse Boehner of shutting down the government and holding the country hostage.

Yes we have a spending problem, and a part of it is because we have been operating without a federal budget for five years. Even when the dems controlled both houses of congress, Harry Reid refused to pass a budget, this latest tactic of blaming the republicans is a red herring, because Reid is the reason we are here discussing the CR.

In 2009 we had ten alarm fire emergency federal spending levels, and Reid and 0bama want to spend, spend, spend. This is why there is no no federal budget, just roll the outrageous 2009 spending into every year's Continuing Resolution. The CR allows for uncontrolled "irresponsible, unpatriotic" spending.

You are so damn right! Harry Reid, the old GEIZER! it has always been with this group of clowns this administration, they control what they want when they want, and do it their way, or don't compromise at all. This is not how it is suppose to be.

We are here because of the old gosh damn geizer, ever since Obama, who was susppose to be transparent, and different are neither different or ever want to compromise at all. We have no federal budget, because of the spend-a-holics. If Obama was such a different President from day one, and promised everything to us the people that he did, we would not be here now. Just like each of his predecessors, he whispered sweet nothings into the ears, of the weak and faint at heart. And clearly has not delieverd, what he has delivered, are lies, and distortions.
