GOP friendly polls also tried to tell us Romney would be president.

It's another LWCJ thread started by this site's biggest LWNJ.

I'm looking forward to a Dem supermajority, actually get some good things done for the country without any roadblocks.

Would certainly speed up the demise of the GOP...

Republicans have to use gerrymandering and voter suppression tactics just to stay competitive.

Does it get any more pathetic than that?

Obama's halmark ACA has already passed, it doesnt matter if the house remains republican for his last years, the sweep will happen in 2016...

Even with the house republicans, ACA has remained and will do so till Obama's end of term. It's only a matter of weeks, if not days, that the end is near. The end of GOP's opposition to ACA.

Of course the opposition will live on here on C-D forever, but not anywhere where it matters...like Congress, the WhiteHouse, or the Courts that is.

What does it matter how well GOP does in mid-terms...ACA will be up and running, and in the budget by then.

Good luck with that. Once the standoff ends Democrats will have to deal with the swelling anger at the price of Obamacare. I suspect you can kiss a supermajority goodbye for the next generation or two.

Oh, you mean like obamacare? Just what "good things" are the dems going to bring you? Do you mean like 90,000,000 Americans not working? Do you mean the things they did when they had a super majority from 2008-2010?
