Weak safeguards and inadequate oversight fail to protect our communities from harm by the rapid expansion of fossil fuel production using hydraulic fracturing or "fracking."
Aquifers are extremely important.

It's not fair for America do be energy independent. Its an unjust, racist action in the face of the rest of the World.

In my area of NE Ohio, there is a lot of fracking going on right now, and I haven't heard of any issues yet with anyone's water.

We plan to lease our 11 acres (as soon as leasing ramps up again this Spring). I'm excited, and it is good for the economy.
This is great news!

Here in east Texas, we've been fracking for decades. No ill effects. It's great for the economy. Life is good.

I don't see anything awesome about that, but if you think contaminated aquifers is a good thing, then more power to you.

Not impressed...

Neither am i.

I don't give a damn how much money it makes, we're gonna pay one hell of a price for this practice, and we'll be shocked when the bill comes due.

The U.S. is overtaking Russia as the world's largest producer of oil and natural gas, a startling shift that is reshaping markets and eroding the clout of traditional energy-rich nations.

U.S. energy output has been surging in recent years, a comeback fueled by shale-rock formations of oil and natural gas that was unimaginable a decade ago. A Wall Street Journal analysis of global data shows that the U.S. is on track to pass Russia as the world's largest producer of oil and gas combined this year—if it hasn't already.

That's pretty awesome.
Well good for Canada also since we finally can be in reach to be energy independent and OPEC has no influence over us and can not be price gouged and begin to enjoy not being a major importer but a to meet our needs and our reserves are loaded up we can become net Oil AND LNG exporters
