I think there would still be cultural clashes no matter what.

I will admit until now I'd truly thought that my Boomer generation had been the transitional generation away from apartheid.

Now I see that the apartheid that the Boomer generation was born into was indelibly stamped upon us. I fear that "post-racial" society cannot exist until at least Boomers are dead and nobody who actually recalls apartheid is around to be nostalgic about it.

People think the whole problem is old white people....and even have to reinvent people like George Zimmerman to "white" because it doesn't fit the political narrative.

There are all kinds of idiots out there with racist views that aren't *white* and think that they have some sort of immunity due to ethnicity.
George Zimmerman isn't white?? Sure looks white to me. If he got on a bus in 1954 Alabama I think he'd be allowed to sit in the front

Racism isn't going anywhere. It is too easy for the powers that be to use it to divide us. Left, Right, it makes no difference. They all use it against us.

Zimmerman looks clearly Latino to me. He would have found problems in plenty of places in the South 50 years ago.
