How is the title not serious?

It is a liberal conundrum. Bring up the third world economy...is a great humanitarian act, which will cause more pollution....
Why is it a liberal conundrum and not a human civilization conundrum?

In the past, when the world was warmer, there was a monsoon in Africa, enough to leave evidence of rivers. Sounds like a safe bet to me.

Nah, I think we are still giving foreign aid, it's considered essential.

this is why all the global warming alarmism is rubbish. the UN wants to tax the prosperous countries, and give that money to developing and undeveloped countries, so they can develop their countries to reach the standard of living that the developed nations of the world have. never mind that CO2 output would increase substantially, never mind that more mining and drilling would be required to deal with the needs of those power plants. lets just tax the rich countries, and give that money to the poor countries, but we will do it under the auspices of global warming so we can legitimately force a tax on the developed nations to raise the money needed to develop the underdeveloped nations. and when we create these protocols, we let china and india off the hook because they are growing in power, and besides they wont conform anyway.

if you want to get serious about "fixing" the global warming issue, then these protocols HAVE to apply EQUALLY TO ALL countries, no exceptions. until then, its all rubbish.

The economic and social injustice in the word is horrifying, but so would be quicker environmental destruction that would ensue if every person in the developing world lived like an American. Fortunately, there is a middle ground here: For example, if we bring full day electricity + water + sewage to everyone in Africa, while at the same time reducing unnecessary electricity waste in industrial processes in developed nations, we can come out with net zero energy change.

In the meantime, you might be interested in a concept called "leapfrogging."
Just imagine the economic and social injustice that would be going on in this country had we the people not risen up to fight off the Brits. But now you take it to the next level and think WE should PAY for everybody else who is going through some sort of injustice. Let em fight their own war. You liberals are all war crazy. Or better yet even YOU liberals pay for it. Get your utopia fired up. I'm tire of paying for YOUR BS garbage "green" utopia. It's all a joke full of politically connected cronies stealing our money. YOu don't care though because you've bought into the "green" thing. So have the cronies...........the green they want aint the same as you though they want money.

I don't think liberals will be able to digest what you just wrote. All that co2 those countries would HAVE to pump out to become non third world should just implode the entire planet. LOL........idiot liberals.

Fair point. The conservative position on this issue seems to be man does not influence climate...hence liberals on this issue have to worry about this aid increasing climate change.

That is a false premise.

It is the type of plant and where that is opposed, not simply the building of the plant. some of the proposed plants in this nation do not meet standards set forth by the EPA 10 years ago,let alone today.

As for locations, many Republicans may not believe in climate change(being man made) but they do believe in property values and they go ape **** when someone plans to build a power plan next to their neighborhood.
