Or 6 things that might happen if Congress can't get its &#$@ together and lets the US default on its debt.
6 ways a default could hurt the world - Oct. 15, 2013

How about that. A few people in suits who can't do their jobs very well can blow up the world's economy while it was actually recovering. Words escape me. There is no word for stupid that goes to the depth of stupid this has become.

The default looks like a done deal. They want it, they planned it, we get it.

^^^^this^^^^^

If the entire government along with society were to collapse, it honestly wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. After the dust settled we'd likely have a bunch of little nations, or better yet, we'd resort to communal isolation, everyone defend their own community and look out for their own. There would probably be urban warfare for a little while between towns and cities competing for boundaries and resources, but things would stable out. It'd be a simpler life, but a better one.
