Tea Party Republican Defends Being on Medicaid While Opposing Medicaid

How did this guy even get elected. He has 10 kids on Medicare and is opposed to Government Social Aid?

Money quote:
"Yes, I participate in government programs of which I adamantly oppose. Many of them, actually."

It makes perfect sense to me living in a rural area. Everyone seems to be on Medicare, SS, Disability, Snap, EIC and childrens Medicaid. Yet they vote reliably Republican. Whats not hard to understand here. They hate Obama and Democrats but love the programs, its really simple.

You apparently don't know the difference between Medicaid and Medicare. Medicare is a senior health program. So his kids aren't on Medicare.

A rose by any other name is still living on the government dole.

This teabagger actually adopted 8 kids that he expects the taxpayers to take care of. How stupid do you have to be to adopt kids that you can't afford?

A substantial majority of the Tea Party membership is receiving some type of government benefit, the same benefits that they want to take away from other people. Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, disability, government pension, etc.

I would do the same. In fact, only an IDIOT would refuse government benefits that they have paid for all their life.

than its hypocrisy to rail against programs you use. Just like the republicans who hate food stamps, but receive farm subsidies. I thought government benefits were supposed to be evil?

As I've stated many times when this is brought up, when the feds stop telling the farmers what to grow, when to grow it and how to grow it then they can keep their subsidies.

The amount of USDA paperwork my wife's family submits every year is staggering.

Perhaps he blames the government for his 10 kids turning out so poorly.

"If it weren't for that dang Medicaid my kids would be rocket scientists!"

Or perhaps he wishes them ill will.
