Where on earth did you come up with garbage like that. No wonder our country is in such trouble with that kind of thinking. Presidents swear to uphold all laws on record; dictators do what they please.
No, the Dream Act wasn't passed, but the president is within his right to choose which laws we enforce. This is something any president can do and isn't something that can be impeached over.

Now who was it that signed NAFTA. That is the real destroyer in the room.
And I'll bet the darlings of the conservative party, the corporations, just LOVED NAFTA! Wow, no more having to pay a decent wage! No more unions! No more having to obey environmental laws (make the stuff in China!!!!!)!

Profits balloon!
But does that help the US economy?
No.
It put people out of work.
Corporations hoard money.

Go take your precious corporations to task.
Aren't they the JOB CREATORS?

There are many aspects to the history of the Weimar Republic that people in America simply don't know about. Hitler as dictator was the end of a complex set of events that began in 1918. The parallels to our history since 2008 are interesting.

Obama isn't the dictator who comes out of our collapse. That leader has not yet emerged. He's unlikely to be a leftist, though leftists make him possible.

It is rare that you get to see someone Godwin their own thread. Kudos, RWNJ.

I agree. The parallels to current events is interesting. The stage is being set.

Not in Germany. The Weimar Republic actually had more stringent laws about citizen gun ownership than the Nazi Party ever imposed. The Nazis banned ownership for targeted groups, but relaxed restrictions and requirements for virtually everyone else.
