If you have great insurance then why would you go cash?
Because doctors in my network typically have long lines and I'm in line with ignorant poor ghetto rats and trailer trash. I want to bypass those lines.

I thought that they didn't have insurance to start with. I am in an HMO, make an appointment, show up at that time, wait time isn't long at all.
Nope, statistics typically work in groups. As an academic, I thrive on verifying hypotheses such as yours through evidence that operate outside the context of your "hunches" and "gut-feelings"
I don't believe you're a serious 'academic.' If you were, you'd understand the absurdity of statistically analyzing a single data point.

The medical outfit my doctor is working for is seriously considering dropping all insurance and going fee only, it ain't just the South. They haven't done it so far because the hospital they are affiliated with is pressuring them not to.
this guy is doing it for the publicity. he's active in the tea party, and he made an attempt at running for congress.
i don't have a strong opinion about doctors going cash-only; i've talked to some doctors about this, though, and they seemed to think that it is a morally wrong thing for a doctor to do.
What would make paying your doctor directly and keeping your records private from all the governments prying eyes, morally wrong????????
I'm I missing something?
I feel forcing me to buy a product is morally wrong, by controlling me by force.
