No, it's not. Yes, it is an outrage. It would be wonderful if it were being spent to preserve a better quality environment.

When subsidy money goes to manufacturing a wind farm, what do you think happens to that money? Do you think it disappears? No, it pays manufacturers and workers, and the money stays in the economy.

meanwhile most tap water is 6.5 to 7.5 (7 is nuteral) 6.5 (acid) is usualy called soft water...while (especially from wells) higher than 7.5 is called hard water

The seas are less basic than they were, IE more acidic. The decrease from 8.2 to 8.1 is enough to cause problems for marine animals

We have a long term trend of more than 150 years of steady sea level rise. The rate of rise, is not statistically different today than it was 150 years ago.

That would be more than 100 years befor the CAGW warming period.....

if we spent just HALF the money on mitigation of this regular longterm trend, we could insure sea level rise does not harm low lying communities.

2 days worth (2 billion) would have been MORE than enough to prevent the devistation to New Orleans caused by Katrina.

Fox news and Rush radio tell you that "man made global warming is a hoax."

But NASA's official website says that 97% of all climate scientists say "man made global warming is happening."

Climate Change: Consensus

The following link from NASA explains how Global warming could stop deep ocean currents (and cover North America with ice 365 days out of the year.)

Global warming is nothing to play with.

All of you Fox news viewers should watch the following Australian documentary (the corporate CEO's who fund and control Fox news are manipulating the hell out of you people.)

The Billionaires Tea Party - YouTube

Fox news tells you that "man made global warming is a hoax", because if we combat global warming it will decrease the profits in large corporations like GE and ExxonMobile.

You also forgot to mention that your source says we are not spending enough money to combat global warming.

Your source says that “Investment to combat and adapt to climate change is happening around the world, but it’s short of where it needs to be and efforts to grow it have not been successful enough.”

Sorry to disappoint you but I never watch Fox or listen to Rush.

So go back to MSNBC and enjoy the hoax.

You are understating and not understanding the problem...

Since the beginning of the Industrial Revolution, the pH of surface ocean waters has fallen by 0.1 pH units. Since the pH scale, like the Richter scale, is logarithmic, this change represents approximately a 30 percent increase in acidity. Future predictions indicate that the oceans will continue to absorb carbon dioxide and become even more acidic.

The ocean in order to be healthy needs to be on the alkaline side of the scale....Studies have shown that a more acidic environment has a dramatic effect on some calcifying species, including oysters, clams, sea urchins, shallow water corals, deep sea corals, and calcareous plankton. When shelled organisms are at risk, the entire food web may also be at risk.
What is Ocean Acidification?
