Legalize it and then tax the hell out of it. The revenue could go a long way in paying off some of our debt. (As long as that is what the revenue is used for! With our Government's track record, I'm sure they would find something else to WASTE the money on however.)

You're probably right. But legalization would generate a whole lot of revenue be it taxes or start up companies growing and distributing. Personally, when it becomes legalized I will more than likely try to grow my own. I imagine it to be similar to tomatoes. You can grow them, or buy them in the grocery store. Of course, I'm sure they'll limit how many one can grow.

What revenue? In that case people will grow it in their backyard continuing to do what they are illegally doing now.

I'm just basing my argument off earlier ones. I'm buying off the guy down the street at $250 on ounce over the government at $350 an ounce.

Consider it done. Bondi's already created widespread suffering to cancer patients and end of life patients with her jackbooted tactics to rid the state of opiate painkillers.

Works great for tobacco so I see no reason for it not to work with weed. The price would come down significantly as well.

It doesn't take many for any individuals needs. So the start up goes out of business and the cycle starts all over.

The only valid argument for making pot legal is because the harm does not greatly over weigh what others see as a benefit.

Not if we "tax the hell out of it".

I think like in the states where it is legal now, you're going to be allowed to grow a certain amount of plants for yourself. I'm fine with that. Would I sell what I had grown? No. I would perhaps give away small amounts like a neighbor gives his fellow neighbors a tomato or two.
