You are referencing inaccurate wages. Your numbers show that wages are stagnant since 1965. This is because immigrants and women (mostly coming in as low skill-low wage) have entered the work force in dramatic numbers since 1965 skewing average wages down...while studies showing individual have shown wages beating inflation and thus real wages increasing.
There are some problems with this thinking. For one thing a lot of immigrants to the United States are actually wealthy or middle class and do not start at the bottom but go straight to being a doctor etc, and the ones who do tend to be illegal and make money under the table and likely wouldn't be counted in any stats. Unless you're a refugee in which you can only stay in the US temporarily, we don't allow just anyone from a Third World country to live here - we want doctors, engineers etc all whom make more than the average American.
Another thing is that back in the day families could survive off a single income, while nowadays it's pretty much required that both spouses work to support a family. The fact that more women are working doesn't suggest an increase in overall affluence.
Your article also suggested that America's poor don't use food panties on much of a significant basis. This is not true at all, about 40 million Americans use the service of pantries and it's gone up a lot since the neoliberal "reforms" of the Reagan and Clinton eras.
Because they have been attacked over and over and over and over again by the rightwing that cares only about the rich. Corporations can give as much money as they want to their candidates but unions can't give a dime
Where have YOU been all your life to come up with such junk?
I hate to break your biased bubble but, there are just as many dem politicians tied to big business as repubs.
Unions are one of the BIGGEST contributors to politics and the dem party gets the vast MAJORITY OF THAT MONEY.
The amount of money the Democratic Party gets from unions pales to what Republicans receive from corporate interests.
That is a flat out lie.
Obama 2012 Net Operating Expenses: $163,225,881
Romney 2012 Net Operating Expenses: $16,076,566
Is there a liberal freak anywhere on the planet that even has a casual acquaintance with the truth? You sure cannot tell that by the liberal freaks who post on City-Data.

I have no idea where you pulled those numbers from. This New York Times article has a good break down of the 2012 election and campaign contributions:
Why shouldn't workers have the right to band together and protect their interests? How does that violate any principle of economic freedom?
i am pro-labor, anti-union
the big reason they bother me is that they get special protections under federal and state law.
a firm should be able to fire everyone at a plant if they feel like it, for any reason, including organizing a union. if a worker doesn't like that arrangement, he/she can quit and find a better employer.
Look at the outside contribution totals. The Democrats only had ONE PAC in the top ten in spending. The rest were all pro-Romney/anti-Obama groups.
The numbers came from the FEC, and it demonstrates that you are a flat out liar. Democrats raised more than 10 times the amount as Republicans in 2012. So peddle your stupidity elsewhere, nobody is buying your total BS.

Why would you think this? If you look at the top donors to political parties since 1986, democratic candidates have actually received more money than republican candidates. Taking the list of major donors (link below) and ignoring those who give very equal money to both parties, this is how much each party has received from the net 140 top donors to political campaigns since 1986.
I love unions when they try to protect the employees... I hate unions when they try to use political power to further their own ends...
