This is from a New Release for Sen. Cruz on the Hagle appointment:

U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz Statement on Hagel Nomination
WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) today issued the following statement:

Chuck Hagel is not the right choice for Secretary of Defense, and if he is nominated, it is
difficult to imagine any way I could support his confirmation. Hagel has not been a friend of Israel, our most important ally in a very troubled region of the world. And he has repeatedly been soft on our enemies. Bullies do not respond to weakness, and Hagel’s stance on Iran --the most serious national security challenge America currently faces -- makes conflict more likely, not less likely.
]America needs someone leading the Pentagon who understands that peace comes through strength. And we need a Defense Secretary who will stand unshakably alongside the nation
of Israel,....

Was Mr. Cruz incorrect in his assesment of Iran. Did Mr. Cruz totally ignore or discount Mr. Hagle's service in Vietnam? Reagan's appointent as Deputy Administrator of the Veterans Adiminstration; or his service in the Senate being elected twice?

What would be Mr. Cruz' reasoning for challenging Mr. Hagle on these points? Was Mr. Hagel unqualified? Or was Mr. Cruz just palin wrong on his assesments?

Vietnam?? I don't recall Vietnam being an enemy or even a threat to the United States. It is a country full of poor peasants.

If Ted Cruz opposed Chuck Hagel, then Chuck Hagel was unquestionably the right choice.

Who cares, Cruz will Never be the President of the United States of America, no matter how much his leg humpers stomp their feet and claim he is the savior of America. His actions and big mouth are all that is needed for him to be rejected by many Repubs and most Indes and no Moderate or Lib would ever vote for the putz. Enjoy.

Why does Cruz keep dancing around, he should just come out an state that he wants US infantry back in Iraq rather than all the innuendo's criticizing Hagel as weak. Anything short of a ground invasion by US forces is considered weakness, I am sure some of those Texas enlistees are looking forward to this. Why didn't he filibuster for an up/down vote on ground forces if he felt so strongly, never stopped him before.

Maybe he wants a secretary of defense that unshakably stands besides Israel but I want a Secretary who puts the best interests of our country first, maybe he should become a citizen of Israel. Our great ally LOL..

Looks like Cruz is yapping for attention again. Sure will be nice when the GOP rejects him for the 2016 Nomination, maybe then he will stop making noise so everyone will look at him.
