Lets post all the obamacare analogies in one place.

Heres mine

A guy shows up at a resturant he visits regularly. He sits down and orders a burger. They bring out 50 burgers, 10 hotdogs and a dozen ordere of fries. He complains that is too much food and he doesnt like hotdogs at all. The manager says dont worry its alot more food, more choices, he will like it. He gets the bill its not what it usually is. Its more than twice what he normally pays. Again he asks the manager about the bill. The manager says their new policy is that everyone pays twice as much, gets alot more food... Its more food he should be happy he got more food. The man eats his normal amout of food and asks for a togo bag. Hes informed theres no leftovers allowed. All the food he couldnt eat goes to the family sitting at the next table. The family of 10! When he gets to the register he realizes that family never paid, and left half eaten burgers all over the place. Heck the kids were throwing food and showed no respect for thier free food.

The man leaves upset.

He paid twice for the same meal as usual, the extra food was wasted, the people who got to eat free didnt apprechate it, and he had no choice because this was the only resturant in town.

A man, his wife, and his kids, and another poor family that is starving show up at a restaurant.

The man orders, he wants steak! he gets steak, shrimp, AND hamburgers (which he loved as a kid, but now that he is older he doesn't need). He gives the shrimp to his wife, cause those are things she likes, and he is allergic too, and the hamburgers to his kids. Outside he paid for parking-and that money is used to help the starving folks get some rice.

Seriously "I don't WANT free (pick sex that gets JUST that) screenings, ignores completely that you're getting your extra just as much as they are. The cost is balanced. Complaining about younger vs's older ignores the fact that people are going to see both sides of it unless they die young.

Sigh. And anologies can be deceiving.

Default We hired an idiot...

We had an opening our group, the Talent Group and HR hired a guy that "fit the bill". It was immediately obvious that this guy was a good BSer, he could sell ice to Eskimos. We showed him the standards, and workflows we used. He was slow, but we did not fault him, he was new. After a month, repeating the same workflows, he still did not get it, so we became concerned because we are a fast paced group and cannot afford slackers.

We began to wonder if this guy knew anything at all, so we began to ask him to come up with some workflows on his own to prove his worth. He did not come up with any. He knew we were on to him, so he began to avoid the casual meetings. After about six months, he began to take vacation he did not even earn yet, and scheduled them on deadline meetings.

He began to call in sick, he was out of the office too much (don't know if he was playing golf though). We began to review his resume again, it was total BS. He lied about everything, and exaggerated every single thing on his resume, it was laughable.

The biggest shock came when we read his LINKED-IN account. We had to suspend disbelief. This guy said he was doing important projects (taking credit for out work), saying he did this, and that. Just a bunch of lies.

We all had enough, he was careless, irresponsible, and we proved our case with facts, documentation and real examples. Our manager and HR could not disagree after seeing the facts/truth. He was fired within two days after meeting with HR. The guy was just an idiot.

Here's mine:

There was this guy named Bill who tried to reform health care in the 90's and that failed and so the GOP offered an alternative plan. That alternative plan was signed into law about 20 years later by a guy named Barack.

Tom Dick and Harry like to eat out a least twice a week, Tom loves lobster ,Dick loves clams, Harry loves crabs, but with the new cost of health care costing more than double a month!! Tom has to cut back eating lobster from twice a week to only once a month. and the rest of the time he eats campbells chicken soup. Dicks policy went up 300 percent!!! so now Dick cant do clams and has to switch to fried chicken anuses in a bun for once a week, and he got really depressed that he cant do clams twice a week and finally commits suicide..Harry's policy went up 400 percent so he has to stop eating crabs all together so he switches to chicken livers because that's all he can afford. and he finally gets really depressed!!! goes out and buys some big pharma antidepressant pills with his last bit of money and finally runs out of pills and mula and commits suicide like Dick!! Fred the owner of the eatery goes out of business loses his material girl and has to live on the street with no sex eating what ever crumbs he can find.. Sam the fisherman guy that got the lobster for Freds eatery cant make payments on his boat so in desperation he scuttles his craft to collect the insurance to pay rent on his apartment!!! finally he runs out of money and is out on the street with fred sharing crumbs left over from the one percent.. Willy the clam digging guy lost all of his customers but tried digging worms, and that venture failed cause nobody could afford to fish anymore so he to ended up on the street sharing crumbs with Fred and Sam.. jack the crabbing nut cant afford to feed his crabs enough healthy food to make em fat!! so what few patrons that were left to buy his crabs dropped his service because the crabs looked really sick and skinny.. so now Jack Fred and Sam are all fighting on the streets to get the crumbs left over by the one percent eating at some of the high end restaurants.. Campbells , the fried chicken company, the liver company, and all the soup companies stocks all hit all time highs!!! because millions of people had to switch from eating lobsters, crabs, and clams making the fat cats even fatter!!!! ohh and by the way,> Garry the guy down the street that lives in the ghetto he's screwing freds material girl Brenda with rubbers and Viagra payed for by Obamacare watching a porn movie on a 60 inch LCD that he stole from Fred's eatery right before it closed down..

really sad story but that's where Americas heading folks

Well from what the left says, the right has NEVER provided an alternative plan...so you have failed...

How about this for an analogy.
What's really great about the ACA is it's like giving maternity benefits to men and post-menopausal women.
Oh crap...that one's not a analogy!

Guy walks into a restaurant. The place is full. Some are eating Steak and shrimp, some are eating a Cheeseburger and fries, some toast bread and water...and some are not eating and a hungry, while some are just sitting around.

The guy notices that the restaurant owner does not have the prices on the menu and charges different prices for the same items. He notices that some are not being served, because they had just eaten.

He notices that some eat and don't pay, they eat and walk out. Some just can afford the meal so the owner splits their bills among the rest of the patrons.

The guy says lets all eat, lets all eat, and share the bill. Lets vote. 51% of all the patrons say yes.

The guy and the owner work out a menu for all...hamburgers for all.

Those that were eating steak and shrimp are mad at eating burgers.

Those eating burgers and fries are mad because their getting just a plain burger and paying more.

And those eating bread and water getting a burger, but are paying the burger price and still want bread and water.

Those that couldn't buy any food are getting a burger with help of all.

Refills are extra.
