Ha ha ha ha I figured that out in 2007.

You do realize that group coverage also covers those things you don't need?

Many of us were not only skeptic about the Presidents plan, but common sense should have told everyone that you cant add millions of new people into the "poll", and increase requirements, and then still expect premiums to fall 3000% (which was Obamas claim)...

lefties went applauding the change, and now that its been shown that we were right, they now have to switch their talking points..

Jus twait until the employer mandates hit.. What we're seeing now is just icing on the cake..

And the MSM never questioned these numbers. Sure, IBD was pretty ferocious in their attacks, but who reads IBD, and anytime the WSJ brought up a point the libs immediately marginalized it with their lame Fox mantra.

Or lie about it, which we are seeing a lot of the last few days on C-D.

Here is classic bs from the NYT editorial pages, as they claim Mr. Obama clearly misspoke when he said you could keep your insurance - "Congressional Republicans have stoked consumer fears and confusion with charges that the health care reform law is causing insurers to cancel existing policies and will force many people to pay substantially higher premiums next year for coverage they don’t want. That, they say, violates President Obama’s pledge that if you like the insurance you have, you can keep it." http://www.nytimes.com/2013/11/03/op...=opinion&_r=3&

An awful lot of Americans are opening notices from their insurance companies and finding out that Obama lied to them, not the GOP. The GOP has been warning all along Obamacare was unworkable. Americans are plenty pissed off now and that is a bald-faced lie by the NYT in an attempt to redirect the growning anger in this country.

Notice the Dems are no longer saying the shutdown will hurt Republicans. They should try to overturn Obamacare again next October.

Oh the shutdown still hurt Republicans, only time will tell if it has any effect in 2014, but thankfully enough Republicans voted against the far right wingers to do the right thing and end the shutdown.

Agreed. Only a fool would believe that adding 50 million new covered lives would result in lower federal expenditures for healthcare.

Libs, however, are not just any fools.

You're so far gone you can't think at all.

The shutdown right before the trainwreck was genius. And I wasn't in favor of it at the time.

Try to keep up. The times they are a-changin.

Only the left cares about the shutdown anymore, and they weren't going to vote Republican anyway. What people do care about is their healthcare and the realization that Obama lied through his teeth. Come 2014 the GOP campaign ads about Obamacare will resonate much more deeply with the American public than any shutdown. The shutdown was a political spat. But Obamacare, the president lied and he picked your pocket. People won't be in a forgiving mood.
