Well, thankfully there are no Americans at this location right now, and looking back, it appears that the U.S.'s coup in Iran in 1953 appears to have blown up in its face.

Protesters also stomped on images of Obama [...] One image showed Obama in a wrestling uniform with Star of David earrings, symbolizing Israel
Sounds like a lot of the posters here on C-D. Who knew Iran had Tea Partiers?

You expect them to praise America? I don't I actually understand why they are doing this. 1950's the CIA helped overthrow the shah which led to the Iran we have now and the 1979 Embassy take over as well. Oh and ya throw in constant chest beating,sanctions,threats,assassination of their scientists well ya get the picture..

Its called blowback and it happens when we meddle in the affairs of other nations.
Of course the fedguv never presents things to the american public in that context, but comes up with goofy **** like " they hate us for our freedoms" lol ...uh huh

<shrug>

I'm not going to defend our meddling in the past governing of Iran.

Imagine if the Russians removed Reagan in favor of a more Russian friendly leader? We'd be pissed too.

Old resentments die hard in the middle east. Iran has never started a war, but it's been run over by many of them, and their government has been tampered with by others whenever they are not defending themselves in a war.

They have reason to be anti-American and to commemorate the 1979 revolution. In 1979 Iranians deposed the Shah - a US puppet and ruthless dictator brought to power by a 1953 CIA coup and funded by the US gov't.
