He certainly did. The louder the Birthers got ~ the dumber they looked. Consequently, it was hard to take ALL of their other accusations seriously. They should attack the President on his policies and let it remain there; much more believable.

He could have been born on the Moon, it is all academic. There is no law against being President of the US and being born on foreign soil. The Constitution only says it is a requirement to become President, but no law has ever been written to punish that circumstance after the fact.

Even if it is ever proven...there is not anything anyone could do about it. Sorry folks.

not exactly. the constitutional requirement is "natural born citizen". that hasn't changed. what is debated is the exact definition of NBC ( there is no definition given in the constitution ). the congressional research service has studied it and concluded that NBC is defined simply as "citizen at birth":

http://www.fas.org/sgp/crs/misc/R42097.pdf

this would include ted cruz thru jus sangunis and obama thru jus soli ( mccain had the bizarre situation of specifically being born a "US national" and not a "US citizen" at the time of his birth. the law was changed one year later and he retroactively became a "US citizen at birth". )

The teabaggers just couldn't help themselves. The urge to go down the birther, FEMA camps, worldwide Muslim caliphate, Agenda 21 conspiracy theory rabbit hole was just too much to resist.

As a result, the Tea Party is now just a corporate funded laughingstock.

Until their corporate funders lost money thanks to the shutdown. Biting the hand that feeds them, we've already seen big businesses turn away from TP darling Cuccinelli in the VA Governor's race. Expect TP Reps in 2014 to have a much harder time raising funds to run their campaigns. Pro-business groups like the U.S. Chamber of Congress have already stated they will support more moderate candidates over the TP.
