Well, I purchase my own health insurance privately and am currently not in need of the ACA offerings. Still, I naturally wanted to know what better deal the website can offer me.

I have now filled out the online application three times. Every time, the whole process works like a charm and ends with the site informing me that my information needs to be verified. After that, the site logs me out and I never hear anything back.

If I go to healthcare.gov again, all I see is that my application is "in progress." I can click on my application and am informed that it is "incomplete." I opt to continue the application and every single effing time, the site makes me go through absolutely ALL of my information again, basically forcing me to re-do the entire thing.

After that, I get the message that my information needs to be verified and we repeat the whole dance.

This has been going on for a few weeks now. There never is any verification and there never is any progress. It's like a Kafka story.

I still have plenty of time before my current insurance is going to jack up my rate to the high heavens, but boy, do I feel sorry for people who don't have this luxury.

I do like the ACA, but this whole process is just pathetic and shameful. And we wonder why we continue to lose standing in the global hierarchy - if this is an example of how our government functions, then we are clearly doomed.

The best thing to do is to create a new account. You need to have a unique/new email to do that. If you created or failed to create an account in the early days it is FUBAR. Had the same things happen to me, created a new account and breezed through everything a little over a week ago. I got my enrollment goodies from the insurer today. Oh, and don't lie. Think carefully on the Experian questions because a bad answer here will stop the whole process. They check your name, address, ssn if you give it, phone and all those things against their databases. If you make up crap it may fail to verify your identity.

I think most of the people who post here are on Medicare, Tricare, or VA coverage and they hate gubbermint health care so I don't know if anyone can respond on the ACA...LOL.

Thank you, I will try that. I figured that you cannot make up a fictional character but had to stick to the truth.
