Apparently the ex-coach followed through and took the kids to Hooters... And Hooters picked up the tab! I guess it's their way of saying thanks for the publicity.
They also pledged to make a donation to the booster club. Which should of course be declined as it is "dirty money".
13 year olds at hooters? Sounds dangerous. Just make sure their hands are visible at all times.

I haven't, but I know a lot of guys who have (including my husband who used to have lunch at one with his coworkers). They'd all talk about the "beer pouring" ceremony they do so that you can get a nice look at their knockers. Fine for adult men who want to relax and are paying for the service. NOT fine for emotionally immature 12 year olds who don't possess the context-dependent critical thinking skills required to understand that not all waitstaff should be treated like strippers.
Hooters is a family restaurant, get over your prudish ways.. Children in there all the time, my wife goes there with me.. Me thinks your hub is telling you fibs to sound manly....
I can tell that a lot of you parents don't know your own 13 and 14 year old boys to well...They know all about the female body....and there are plenty of girls their own age willing to show them anything they want to see or play with.......Hooters isn't a strip bar....
I remember when some guy's wife tried to tell me her husband bought playboy magazine for the articles :-) :-) :-)
