Religious beliefs keep high school runner from wearing bib number '666' | Fox News

Good. The school officials said, "If they had known why, they would've changed it." I think it's pretty obvious here. The devil is in control of those race officials, and it wants to brand children with its sign.
You may think that is some kind of crazy conspiracy, or kooky thinking. BUT LOOK AT THE CHILD. That's what the child believed.

This is what makes America great. The thought that wearing a number aligns you with Satan.

So sad that this kid has been so indoctrinated and deluded that she's afraid of a number.

This is what makes America look like a country of fundy loons so backward that we are terrified of numbers.

I guess that fits considering how many are afraid of science.

Japanese people are afraid of the number 4 and 9, so much so that apartments are numbered 102, 103, 105, 106, 107, 108, 110. Are they stupid and deluded, too? I'm sure the Chinese and Koreans also have similar superstitions

You are sure they do? If you are going to make claims like that, I thought you would know and could provide evidence. If they do, I would call them ignorant as well. Please feel free to provide some.

Sorry but no. Their religious beliefs are very straightforward about that number. I can see why the child refused.....and I'm an atheist! People are weird about the number 13 too.

This looks more like a description of Shinto/Buddhist beliefs. Did I miss a name?

That is a given. No unlucky numbers, no 666 or 13. Race officials should have contacted Miss Cleo for everyones unlucky number. What were they thinking?

My point is superstitions surrounding numbers is not limited to Christianity. Every culture in the world has some sort of "evil" number(s)
