Seen a lot of Libertarian and Libertarian minded folks with a very teenager/infantile sense of what freedom actually is. Thankfully, most Americans are not insane.
While most of us Americans think along the lines of, "Great, an easy way to ensure we don't crash into each other"; most wingnuts on this board believe in a sense of freedom that, in Bill's words regarding traffic lights, "How dare the government tell me when I can and cannot go!"
Of course, the irony here is.....
You don't need government to implement traffic regulation.

The Dems are just as much in bed with corporations as the Repubs these days.
GE, Monsanto, any of the big banks.
Look at the laws passed recently. All in favor of business and individuals on the hook to pay for it.
Even with Obamacare the only mandate the Dems stood fast on were the individual penalties.
They caved and exempted/waivered every business tax/penalty.
Don't confuse me with someone who thinks that being a democrat in politics is any better than being a republican. They are all invested in a system that improves their lives and makes them wealthy. When I speak of the differences in being one or the other, it's on a philosophical level or belief system. I think Washington has too much money corrupting the system, and we are all paying the price. I believe dems do a better and more just job of governing, just as you do, the repubs. But money and power corrupts equally.
Liberals are not religious fanatics....nor do we worship government. We find it useful in keeping mega corporations from taking average people down. Until citizens united got passed by the right wing demigods it worked. Now corporate money has tilted the scale on a major scale towards the monopolies. They have purchased the government and are fully in charge. You on the right opened pandora's box and we are all suffering for it and it's only going to get worse. Your first paragraph is correct.....as it relates to small to medium business, the industries of big oil, big agribusiness, big pharma, and big arms contractors run this country. This was what liberals have been trying to stop. The rest of your post was blaming the wrong party, but Rush, Hannity and Beck keep you confused.

Why don't you rise above it and answer this: Can you give me an example of a specific economic policy advocated in the Libertarian Party Platform that has worked before in the United States or somewhere else?
