We're screwed for the next few years.
He can EO all his wishes.
Somehow money finds its way to fund them too without Congress approval.
And Congress will not act against what the President does.

And he's got top notch advisors that know exactly how close to the line he can get in changing laws.

Nixon would be clapping with glee over what Obama has been able to get away with as President.

You'll have to cut the guy some slack. I mean all he does is read the words his handlers put on the teleprompter for him. You could probably ask him some questions on a "speech" he gave last week and probably wouldn't have the foggiest idea what you were talking about.

Dodd-Frank has a system to be able to keep the large Banks from killing the system.
Deregulation - of the REAL kind, would stop banks from growing to the point of ever being "systemically crucial to the system".

The Fed continues to shovel money into the big banks, and has been doing so since 2008.

Congress repealed, and Clinton signed the repeal of Glass Steagle in 1999. Once that happened, it took less than a decade for the big banks to cause another economic depression. Why would Clinton have signed that law, you ask? So banks could lend money to deadbeat minorities so they could 'buy' homes.
Did you also know many of those dead beat loans went to solid middle class folks with good credit? Those where subprime loans and anyone could qualify including dead beats but not all were, but screwed neverthe less. Once the market fell many solid middle class Americans still lost their homes because they lost their jobs, causing a domino effect. If I were king I'd line up half of Wall Street's CEOs and frag their asses.

Well they did that after the 1929 stock market crash.
It was called Glass-Steagall.
But we repealed that and ended up with another crash just like then..due to the banks.

Dodd-Frank was written by the bankers for the bankers so there is nothing that will save "the system".

Just put back Glass-Steagall rather than try to tweek an already bad law by the very people who benefit from it.

But BANKS did not.

Fannie and Freddy, between them, at one point, were responsible for more than half of ALL mortgages each year. Each, by being players so large they absolutely dwarfed the largest banks and other mortgage players, set the interest, risk, credit, income, and equity rates for the market.

Don't blame banks for what Congress and the administrations did. The federal government is to blame, 100% for our real estate boom and subsequent bust, and for all the toxic bad debt clogging up the economy.

False. Totally. It wasn't a fix for the problems in '29 and it wasn't to blame for the events of '08 onward.

Misplaced. The fault lies 100% with Democrats. Frag them. They are to blame.

Oh wise and learned one, please explain how Wall Street is blameless and the meltdown was the fault of the Democrats. We await with bated breath.
