This a school trustee position, turnout is usually low - but it shows that the black incumbent didn't have much support, assumed he was in a safe seat, and did a poor job campaigning and getting the message out that his opponent was really white. The district ls better off without someone who took his job for granted.
He never said his race. People made assumptions. If his race was the basis for voting for him (and shame on them if it is) then they should have taken the care to make sure he was the "right" race.
