You must have missed the link I posted earlier to NORM - it's one of several support organizations for men who are unhappy with the fact they were mutilated (many of whom are looking into having some sort of foreskin restoration procedure done). NORM currently has US chapters in:
Boise, Iowa City, Wichita, Detroit, Phoenix, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Miami, Honolulu, Chicago, Kansas City, NYC, Winston-Salem, Youngstown, Philadelphia, Scranton, Memphis, Austin, Dallas, Norfolk, Roanoke, Seattle, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Alaska, and Appleton Wisconsin.
I never met one. I specifically stated that in my experience and with ALL the men I know and have known. In fact, many have poked fun at the fact that others were not. If this is your great cause...have at it. Within the Jewish faith it is a rite of passage as is a Bar Mitvah. It is done by a Mohel as s opposed to a physician and that is all he does, in a lot less painless way than it is done in a medical facility.

My great cause? I was simply responding to a question posted on an internet message board.
And I'm familiar with what a bris is. I've had this very same circumcision debate with many of my Jewish friends. I'll say the same thing I say to them. Your freedom of religion does not extend to another person's penis. Other than for medical necessity, there is no valid reason to violate the fundamental right of that child to control the physical intactness of his own body. Appeasing your religions convictions does not justify cutting off somebody else's perfectly healthy body parts.

The "perfectly healthy" thing is up for much debate and from a woman's standpoint, I find a circumcised penis way more appealing...so there you have it.

Good for you. I too find a circumcised penis more attractive (I also find uncircumcised penises attractive, just a tad less so). On the other hand, for my best friend since childhood, a circumcised penis is a dealbreaker for her.
Your, or my, or her viewpoint on what makes a penis attractive, however, is not the measure of whether a foreskin it healthy or unhealthy. A child requiring a medically necessary circumcision is very rare.

Then why does it extend to a young child's mind? You can't skip the cultist brainwashing and indoctrination, and let them decide for themselves when they're older?

There's a big difference between teaching/instruction and cutting off body parts.
You call it teaching and and instruction. I call it it brainwashing and indoctrination, some of which cripples a person for life.
In regards to this, if you think that some parents are teaching their children inappropriate things, then you are welcome to try having the authorities do something about this.

Parents make important and life-changing decisions for their children all the time. There are benefits to having circumcision done at an early age. Like the nurse that posted earlier in this thread, I too know from personal experience that men who have circumcisions later in life find it very painful, and the risk of infection is higher. In fact, many men need to have it done if they develop diabetes because the foreskin is one of the first things that will become chronically infected. I have never met anyone personally who was angry about being circumcised, though lately I have seen several threads and comments like this one where uncircumcised people rant against the procedure.
