And the he-can-do-no-wrong followers will suck it right up
Do you think that the insurance companies are blameless in this?

Do you think that it was acceptable for them to sell NEW policies after the ACA was passed that did not meet the requirements of the ACA?
You do realize that's what they've done, right?
ALL of the non-complying policies that were in effect prior to the ACA were grandfathered in. ALL OF THEM.
The only policies that are now non-compliant are those that were sold after.

Why do you suppose insurance companies would sell a product that they KNEW would to HAVE to be cancelled?

Do you think that they thought that the Supreme Court would rule differently? Or that Romney would get elected?
People keep talking about three years as if everything was a "go" from the get-go.
The reality is that until the Supreme Court ruled and the election was finalized, there was no guarantee that the ACA would stand.

So, the insurers rolled the dice and they lost. And why did they roll those dice?
Greed, pure and simple.
That and they no doubt calculated that people wouldn't blame them for their greed.
And they were right, weren't they?

How would that look if the bill passed ?

Now is he doing this via EO ? Bypass Congress yet again to change the law via EO ?
How would it have looked if the bill passed?
Would the result be any different?

There's still only, what, six-seven weeks left in the year.

Obama overpromised and under-delivered. Classic mistake frequently made by unqualified participants. Obama's presidency will be a Poli Sci case study for years to come of how NOT to run a presidential administration.
You keep saying this and have yet to post a link proving it.
Until then, I will ask, did you hear the president say that EVERY family would save $2,500 or was that meant to be those families that bought new insurance and/or was that meant to be on average?

Inquiring minds want to know.

It is Bush's fault.....

Oh, wait!
Time to look back and really see who's fault it is and where the buck actually stops.

Insurance Companies, can only follow the laws placed on the books, by this administration.
You blame someone, for following the law you support?

Isn't that called a set up sting.

The liar-in-chief still has his defenders ....I see. I see they are blaming the insurance companies for selling products the customer demanded.

No he lied because he is an idealist. To an idealist the ends always justify the means. They feel entitled to lie because after all they know what's best. The reason he was unsure if it would pass is that he knew the bill would cost us far more than advertised. He knew that a good many people would be impacted in a negative way. That doesn't matter because he also knew that the majority of his voting base would not be hurt. He made sure of that.

Obama (Bristol, Va., June 5): In an Obama administration,
we’ll lower premiums by up to $2,500 for a typical family per year. And we’ll
do it by investing in disease prevention, not just disease management; by
investing in a paperless health care system to reduce administrative costs; and
by covering every single American and making sure that they can take their
health care with them if they lose their job. … And we won’t do all this twenty
years from now, or ten years from now. We’ll do it by the end of my first term
as president of the United States.

And if you don't believe those links....

How about directly from his own mouth....19 times....

Remember Obama promising to reduce premiums $2,500 per family? Ha! ObamaCare will jack up premiums 4

ROFL. That's how partisan our politics has become.

But House Democrats plan to author a similar bill.

White House vows to veto GOP House member Fred Upton's healthcare bill - UPI.com
The White House vowed to veto a Republican House bill to be voted on Friday that would let U.S. insurers still offer health plans that would have been canceled.
The GOP has made all too clear that it wants to destroy Obamacare, not fix it. Obama’s move Thursday is a solution that keeps the Affordable Care Act intact. The GOP bill would undermine the insurance base, which is its purpose.
