Just about every single US president has had someone come gunning for him.

The difference with those two is that the guys after them succeeded.

Reagan came close to death from a lone fruit-loop whom would be hard to tie to any nefarious plots by the NWO or illuminati etc.

Well, because of Jack Ruby we'll never definitively know what motivated Oswald. I think the fact that he was killed makes the JFK assassination all the more fascinating.
