I'm not a huge fan of the Bush Administration but he gets WAY too much undeserved blame. If you sincerely think that Bush had culpability in the recession...you're ignorant beyond repair. Bush didn't ramp up the CRA, Bush didn't expand government housing policies to the extent that his predecessor did, Bush didn't sign the repeal of Glass-Steagall....the only thing I would say that Bush should have done is work to enact legislation to regulate credit default swaps and collatalized debt obligations. Aside from that...GWB had zero culbaility for the Great Recession. Bush DID add to the deficit...that is without question. But the recession.....nope.

I am proud of Bush for enacting the tax cuts in 2001 and 2003 in response to the dot com bubble bursting and the early 2000's recession and I'm also proud of him for minimizing regulations to open and maintain new businesses. The tax cuts helped make this recession much more acute...further, economic activity was higher...GDP growth was respectable...unemployment was low...tax receipts were at an all time high.

The thing that I think is hilarious about Democrats...they basically claim that Bush screwed up the economy but for all intents and purposes Bush espoused Keynesian policies that they profess to support. Miliatary Spending IS government spending...federal spending boosts aggregate demand and it has been ongoing since 2003! Bush spent tons on government programs. The Democrats...particularly Keynes puppydog Krugman engage in a heads I win, tails you lose argument about the Bush administration and their domestic and military spending.

Sad but true---TPTB realize that Americans are too obsessed with race-whether it is subconscious or not. Some people just cannot see past the fact that Obama and Bush are one in the same-OBUSHMa.

It also seems very scripted how they portray the two identical Puppet Presidents-the supposed bumbling f#c^ redneck cowboy vs the supposed suave urban progressive black guy. I definitely can see how idiots believe their policies to be so opposite.

You hit the nail on the head. Both are puppets in the grand scheme of things, and I honestly see no difference between the 2 in regards to their policies and further expansion of the federal government. For those who believe otherwise, you have to wonder what is in the kool aide that they're drinking?

So what have we had done for us that has made this country better in the last 5 years?

We have universal health care.....that is a win!! Errrr.........wait, in most cases they cost more and the policies are worse and the President lied about all of it and we haven't had the employer mandate kick in. But never mind that, let's focus on what is better!!!!

The stock market is higher!! Errr.........wait, it is falsely propped up by QE dollars and is making the rich richer and the poor worse off and the economy and financial system more weak and vulnerable in the long run. QE is nothing more than a Wall Street bailout which we know liberals railed against. So since we are here to talk abotu what is better, let's take that one off the table for now!!

Unemployment has gone down since last year!!!! Errr.........wait, there are actually more people not working now than before but thanks to fudged numbers, it just appears to look better. Maybe if we just gloss over that, people won't notice. Let's do that and move on to the next piece of how we are better!!!

No more Bin Laden!!!!! Errrr...........wait, the plans to get Bin Laden were in place long before Obama took office and our President was against the interrogation techniques and black sites used to get him so if he had his way, Bin Laden would be gone. MOving along very quickly here so no one will notice................

We bailed out GM and saved the auto industry!!! Errrrr..............wait. It cost how much to do that? How many billions? Ignore that please!!

Green Energy!!!!! Errrrr..................wait. So many of the companies that the Federal Government gave money to are bankrupt. OK, not a win but the intentions were good so that counts for something?.....right? at least a little something maybe?

Gas Prices. They went to $4 a gallon under that evil Bush!!! Errr................ wait. They went close to that and they have stayed around $3 per gallon and typically higher for years now. BUt we are better off then Europe so that is a plus, right?!! Forget the fact that your secretary of energy says he wants high gas prices though.

Welfare and Food Stamps!!! We are helping more people out with these government programs!!! Errrrrr...................wait. That must mean that our economy isn't doing so well if more people (and a lot more people) need these. Never mind.

Bush was all about Cronyism....Obama is not. Errr............................wait. Move very quickly on again!!!!!!!

Fast & Furious, Benghazi, drone strikes, wars, no budgets, deficits, debt...............the list seems to be endless.

Yep, we are certainly better off!!! Can't we all see that? It is all spelled out in black and white right there for you!!

I can't tell much difference between Bush 3.0 and Bush 2.0 except the packaging is more stylish.

I posted this in 2008 BEFORE the election...

Obama’s top adviser is Zbigniew Brzezinski. Brzezinski gave an interview to the French press a number of years ago where he boasted about the fact that it was he who created the whole Afghan jihadi movement, the movement that produced Osama bin Laden. (BILDERBERG)

Another key Obama adviser, Anthony Lake, he was the main force behind the US invasion of Haiti in the mid-Clinton years during which they brought back Aristide essentially in political chains, pledged to support a World Bank/IMF overhaul of the economy, which resulted in an increase in malnutrition deaths among Haitians and set the stage for the current ongoing political disaster in Haiti. (BILDERBERG)

Another key Obama adviser, Dennis Ross. Ross, for many years under both Clinton and Bush 2, a key--he has advised Clinton and both Bushes. He oversaw US policy toward Israel/Palestine. (BILDERBERG)

Another Obama adviser, Sarah Sewall, who heads a human rights center at Harvard and is a former Defense official, she wrote the introduction to General Petraeus’s Marine Corps/Army counterinsurgency handbook, the handbook that is now being used worldwide by US troops in various killing operations. That’s the Obama team. (BILDERBERG)

as YOU CAN SEE,, he is BACKED by bilderberg

Bilderberg has been trying since 1992 to “establish a UN tax” which would be used to finance their globalist-oriented programs. Of course, the brunt of this tax would fall on American workers, and it appears this is being spearheaded by Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama.
On Feb. 14, 2008, an Obama-sponsored bill called the “Global Poverty Act” (S 2433) was referred to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee after passing the House. What this bill would do, in effect, is levy a global tax on the United States where an additional 0.7% of the gross national product would be earmarked to foreign aid (on top of what we already give).

Assisting Obama in his endeavors are two longtime Council on Foreign Relations members: the man who has been called Obama’s mentor, Sen. Joseph Biden (D-Del.). Both have attended secret Bilderberg meetings and have been influential in trying to ratify the UN’s Law of the Sea Treaty.

John D. Rockefeller 4th (BILDERBERG) has ENDORSED Obama

John Corzine D- NJ Governor (BILDERBERG) has endorsed Obama

Kathleen Sebelius D- Ks Govenor, (BILDERBERG) has endorsed obama

Janet Napolitano D- Wa Governor (Bilderberg) has endorsed Obama,,,btw she like the others is PRO anmesty, and PRO NAU,,,all NEW WORLD ORDER

The Trilateral Commission which OBAMA is a member. It was founded in July 1973, by David Rockefeller (BILDERBERG, CFR), along with Zbrigniew Brzezinski (BILDERBERG)

North American Union (NAU),,relevant to this process is the publication of NORTH AMERICAN INTEGRATION MONITOR since 2002 by the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). Zbigniew Brzezinski has been a CSIS counselor, and at Mikhail Gorbachev's first State of the World Forum in 1995, Brzezinski revealed: "We cannot leap into world government through one quick step....The precondition for eventual and genuine globalization is progressive regionalization because by that we move toward larger, more stable, more cooperative units."

You may recall that in Brzezinski's BETWEEN TWO AGES (1970), he praised Marxism, and he claimed that "the nation-state is gradually yielding its sovereignty."

obama is pro amnesty

obama is CFR

obama is TLC

obama is pro NAU

obama is PRO NWO

obama is open trade,,more jobs we will lose

obama has already shown a plan to INCREASE (the budget/debt) spending by 1-3 trillion ,at taxpay expense(((as we can see now in May 2012 spending went up by over 5 trillion))))

sorry but obama is not the candidate for change, he is not hope, he is bush-HEAVY, a globalist in socialist clothing, he will sell us further to china and the un

I like that he followed Bush's Iraq withdrawal timeline, tried to extend it and then left far more troops there than Bush wanted to.

I like that he has bombed 6 countries not Bush's 4.

Special Forces sent into 75 countries...more than Bush...sweet!

I like that Obama has continued using torture, sure he just uses rendition to fly them to some place where torture is legal and pay them to do it, but he still uses it!

I like the Obama has flip flopped on whether or not Congress must be used for military actions.

I LOVE that Obama ignored the 60 days requirement in the War Powers Act...don't tell Obama he needs to get authorization after 60 days of bombing Libya.

On the home front I love having more lobbyists in the WH than Bush.

I love the more QE money creation to keep everything propped up.

As a fiscal Dove, I love that Obama will add 10 Trillion in debt over 8 years as opposed to Bush's mere 5 over 8.

I love the fact that earmarks are UP!!!

I love no-bid contracts being UP!!!

PATRIOT ACT RENEWED!!!!!!

NSA!!!!!

etc...

If you support Bush, you should love Obama, Obama out Bushes Bush.
Please do not ever point out Obama is Bush on steroids... It will freak out the so called "liberals" who think he is their savior..

well for starters, Obama followed GWBs plan to get out of Iraq.... to the letter...

so not really an improvement, but that is one thing Bammer didnt mess up.

Bammer also followed GWBs TARP plan. not sure that is an improvement but well... it didnt break things worse.
