Funny isnt Social Security and Medicaid going to take care of them?
Not our fault they could not do basic math and believed a bunch of lies.
Actually if the state approved their contracts and their pensions, they should get what was promised because it would make it harder to find future workers if they cannot keep their word with their contracts. Would you want to work for a company that had previously screwed over its employees before you came along?
Do you plan on having only Social Security and Medicare taking care of you for your retirement? I know I am not planning that, though I am happy that the system is there for the added help. Also happy that it is there for my father in law who will be relying on it for his retirement because his company didn't have anything in place for a retirement plan.
So you would take food from the elderly? That is dirty.
Please read what I said. If there's NO "loaf" because the whole old age system fell apart; that be a whole hell of a lot WORSE than getting at least something. Sheesh!

Yet that isn't what people on here are saying that should be done, people like gunlover has basically suggested that they simply cut them off and give them nothing. I am against that, the state signed that contract and is well aware with what they owe their employees.

Bankruptcy can kill that off real fast. I ain't saying it's right; it is what it is, especially with this f'd up economy.

Is the state of Michigan going bankrupt or plan on filing for bankruptcy any time soon?
