If they are able to make it, they are physically and mentally capable.

And with the right training, they could do exactly what you asked.

Question Where is this "one standard?" Certainly not in the Marine Corps.

Quote:
The minimum standards for the CFT under the pass or fail grading will be as follows:

Male

Age Group | 880-Yard Run | Ammo Lifts | Maneuver Under Fire
. 17-26 ..|.... 3:48 ....|.... 45 ....|.... 3:29
. 27-39 ..|.... 4:00 ....|.... 45 ....|.... 3:55
. 40-45 ..|.... 4:19 ....|.... 44 ....|.... 3:57
.. 46+ ...|.... 4:30 ....|.... 43 ....|.... 4:28

Female
Age Group | 880-Yard Run | Ammo Lifts | Maneuver Under Fire
. 17-26 ..|.... 4:34 ....|.... 20 ....|.... 4:57
. 27-39 ..|.... 4:40 ....|.... 21 ....|.... 5:27
. 40-45 ..|.... 5:09 ....|.... 17 ....|.... 6:07
.. 46+ ...|.... 5:20 ....|.... 15 ....|.... 6:30

Why would the Marine Corps develop two completely different combat standards, with the standard for women being much lower than the standard for men, if they intended to determine whether one qualifies or not based upon one single standard?

After the 880-yard run and the ammo lifts, this is what the "Maneuver Under Fire" part of the test looks like:

true, to get in and pass basic training, they do have lower standards than the men, but in some areas, they have to meet the same standard as the men. if the women want to be in combat they have to meet the same standard as the men. if a woman wants to pass sniper training she has to meet the same standard as the men do. if a woman wants to drive a supply truck, they can meet a lower standard. and if a woman wants to join force recon, she has best meet the standard the men do or she wont get anywhere near recon.

I'm going by what the article said. Throughout the training, female students were held to the same standards as men, Marine officials said. For example, during the 12½-mile march, all students were required to haul almost 90-pounds of combat gear. The women assigned to Delta Company also were required to perform pull-ups — not a flexed-arm hang — during their Physical Fitness Test

I hope you realize that none of what you posted is true. Women have different standards in every aspect of the military. Women have much lower standards to meet in basic training, AIT (Advanced Infantry Training), PFT (Physical Fitness Tests), CFT (Combat Fitness Tests), and every other standard the Marine Corps has. Women are even trained in separate camps.

There is no standard in the Marine Corps in which women are required to be equal with men, and that is the problem.

The women assigned to Delta Company may have been required to perform the minimum 3 pull-ups instead of the flexed-arm hang, but they left out the much lower requirements women must meet during their Combat Fitness Test. See post #42 above: First Female Marines Completing Infantry Training: Attrition Rate 25 Times Greater Than Men

Women do not have to meet the same standards as men in the Marine Corps, and because of that, Marines will end up dead unnecessarily for the sake of political correctness.

When SHTF, it should be all hands on deck like it was during the time that Adolf invaded the USSR. That's what the military is there for.

Why so light in the weight dept ? I am sure the Marines in Support company are carting well over 140 LB when they have a 81mm tube, baseplate or bipod on their backs.
