Are you suggesting that we go back to the "good old days"? I think, given that I am more "progressive" than you, that we should just have property owners vote. These property owners, of course, could be blacks or women.

Then I must be really progressive cause I think all three are wrong and the Supreme Court agrees with me.

The original Constitution didn't prevent anyone from voting.

Classic. What's dumber? The fact that you believe in such a thing, or the fact that you believe there are many people who don't pay taxes?

What kind of moron thinks that there are many people who are unscathed by sales taxes, property taxes, payroll taxes, usage fees, registration fees, mandatory prison sentences for breaking moral laws?

Don't get me started on Medicare. It's going bankrupt and yet people paid into it!

I did while I put myself through school. I paid taxes for years and used some of it to be the first one in my family to go to college and get a degree. My father dropped out of junior high.

I have a learning disability and struggled terribly to get where I am at today.

I never voted when I was on government assistance. I didn't feel I had the right!

I would love to see my tax dollars help someone better themselves...but to see them go nowhere and just expect the government to be their answer is just wrong IMO!

I know some can't help it...I don't mean the very ill, but I don't think obesity (that is out of control) and now un-hirable is a very good excuse!
