No. US 77 is the stretch of road that goes down to Brownsville and beyond.
That's the road to Port A, Rockport and Padre Island.

This wasn't even near the border.
And it was coming home..so going north.
I've never been stopped going south.
Somewhere south of Victoria but I couldn't tell ya where because it's not very populated.

They use the truck weigh stations to pull you over.
At least that's efficient use of them when they aren't weighing the trucks.
And it does make for easy off and easy back on.

I go down to the coast every year.
I'd say I've gotten pulled over maybe 4-5 times since 1996.
Last year was the first where he asked for my DL.
Maybe it has to do with DHS and terrorism and all that..who knows anymore.
But all the times before that I also was just asked if I was a citizen and then flagged on.
