The reason I call him His Highness King Obama is due to him thinking that HE is the government, and therefore can do as HE sees fit. We live in a Republic not a Monarchy, Obama doesn't know the difference and his followers will support anything HE suggest. This became real apparent during the last vote to raise the debt ceiling, Obama was going to invoke the 14th amendment to bypass congress and HE was going to raise the debt ceiling Himself. If one reads the 14th amendment nowhere do it grant the President this unilateral power.

This isn't the first time King Obama has bypassed congress to promote His ideas on the country. We the people are the government, we send Senators and Representatives to Washington to speak for us and Obama discounts any one that doesn't agree with Him. This is the same tactics that exist within a Monarchy or a Dictatorship.

Obama does not care about we the people. It's his way or he'll veto it.

Also, to address the OP, if you are already contracted for a certain rate there is no reason you wouldn't be part of the network of any policy going by that. "Obamacare" isn't a THING, it still the same Insurance Company and policies with new names. Unless they change their contract with you (the rates they reimburse you) there is no reason you WOULDN'T be in the network. Perhaps it's your "business people" you have a problem with, since you personally don't seem to deal with insurance at all.

Joe Blow who signs up for insurance plans without checking with his Dr will learn a lesson. It's one we all learned back in the 80's when Dr's dropped in and out of medical groups regularly. I know there are errors on the listings, the insurance companies themselves say they aren't always up to date. I read that back in the 80's too, and learned a lesson.

Incorrect- You are completely wrong. Keep in mind that we, as providers, are experiencing this first hand, while you are speculating about information read on the net.

We are contracted with Blue Cross, United, Cigna, Humana, Coventry.....ect... at predetermined rares via contract.

However the products sold on the "exchanges" still list the contracted providers as "participating" under the umbrella of new "Obamacare" products (they are new insurance products under these corporate umbrellas sold through the exchanges).

Therefore, we are listed as "providers", when in fact we did not sign up to be providers for these subsets of "Obamacare" products sold through the exchanges. The rates offered are too low for us to accept, therefore we are not signing up.

What happens? The Obamacare exchange products find they do not have enough providers. They agree to pay more physicians the "old rates" (higher than they thought), which will result in dramatic premium increases for these products in the following year.

It is a fantastic mess, created only by the democrats. They OWN this mess.

The misinformation machine would have the masses to believe that no MDs nor hospitals are participating in Obamacare. If that were true, all MDs and hospitals would be preparing to close their doors.

For example, BCBS and Kaiser have an 80% share of the individual market in California. The remaining 20% of the market was held by an assortment of insurers who were unable to compete with BCBS and Kaiser which has nothing to do with the ACA. Some of the insurers have been and are continuing to make business decisions to withdraw from the individual market in California and concentrate on the more lucrative large group plan markets where they are more competitive.

At the same time, the same misinformation machine simultaneously plays the other end and seeks to inform the masses of an acute MD shortage because too many people will be insured seeking service.

When one looks back on the creation of Medicare in the 60's, the AMA made it clear that the entire medical system would immediately collapse under the weight of seniors seeking medical care. And yet. that did not happen, did it.

Remind be again............................. aren't you the person who, just a few posts ago, said that physicians ARE PAID EXTRA MONEY PER PRESCRIPTION WRITTEN FOR MEDICARE PATIENTS?

Yes. that is exactly what you said.

Given that you are not a provider or administrator in the healthcare system, and seem to have very innacurate, false information as your "knowledge base", remind me again why anyone should give your opinion any credence?

You are in real estate, right? So how does that qualify you to be an "expert" in healthcare, as obviously you know very, very little about healthcare.

Let me remind you of two things

1. The Dunning Kruger effect

2. Mark Twain "It aint the things that we don't know that get us into trouble. It is the things that we know for certain, that just aint so".

Are they giving realtors expertise and training in the economics and implementation of healthcare now? If not, how do you present yourself as an expert or one that has any knowledge of the particulars of Obamacare? Just curious, as it seems odd to me that you presume to know more about this than I do, when my clinic is involved very intimately with these contracts and negotiations.
