Why would anyone care what a celebrity thinks or what his opinion is. Rich or not he is a uneducated moron.

Hispanic whites or Spanish speaking WHITES are just as white as any other type of white person.

Whiteness is such an ambiguous term.

I heard Kim K had some Hispanic ancestors in her lineage but that could be a rumor etc.

I agree that Kim K is usually accepted as WHITE etc.
The "Hispanic" word ain't real honest. I say that because in the real world of the US; it means someone of Indian and Spanish family who started out south of the border despite it meaning ANYBODY of Spanish family. Tho calling Leander Perez "Hispanic" would've been fighting words 50 years ago; he was a big fan of Jim Crow laws for Blacks 50 years ago and probably felt the same about "brown" Mexicans too.

It's just one of those quirks of the English Language. The term was coined in the 19th Century and only refers to Jews. Yes, Arabs are also Semites. The word anti-Semite does not mean anything against Arabs, however.

Look it up in any English language dictionary ... from the Oxford to Merriam-Webster.

The English language is full of these eccentric words - kind of like how "flammable" and "Inflammable" mean exactly the same thing.

CAPICHE ????
But then you have to take into account the diversity and complexity of the Jewish diaspora. It's all apart of semantics. Ppl seem to think that anything in disagreement with a person or not in accordance with Jews or Zionism is anti Semitic which is bull****. Just because something is not in agreement with the Jews does not make it AntiSemitic. Ppl are so quick to use that term. Btw I'm not defending Kanye because through and through he is a mother****ing idiot and a fool.

For example with the whole controversy and political semantics of the Palestineans vs Israeli conflict and the idea of Arabs and Jews etc, ppl use these terms and semanticized and politicize them and promote mutual exclusivity of such factions promote divide and conquer and to generate manipulative and exploitative profit of such and ways to generate and/or maintain power. There are actually Palestinean Jews as well as even Arab Jews. Although these terms are definitely controversial, such people do exists and such ppl who do identify as such exist. All of these labels and the way they are erroneously presented are done to put ppl inboxes and ignore other realities. Its mother****ing ridiculous and it's bull**** lots of times.

PoLIEtics is bull****. PCness is Particularly Craptistic

Smh. You dont seem to get it or the point being made. Im aware of what dictionaries say, but keep in minf that these ideas and conventions of AntiSemitism have only evolved in recent times and out of necessity or unnecessity, and the English language and dictionary are still evolving. Also take into account that colloquialisms and English spoken around the world differs in their contexts and spaces in relation and juxtaposition to others. And for the millionth time and I mean the MILLIONTH time, many people are challenging the widely flawed and widely held belief that anti-Semitic refers to anti Jewish sentiment only. Alot of these conceptions and terms are caught up in sociopolitical semantics and divide and conquer.

And there are also some Jews that are anti Semitic or promote such in conjunction with an agenda etc.

Got it? Deuces and truces.

Btw, some ppl are changing or challenging the flawed held beliefs of what the term
Anti Semitic means or is as a term.

Uh, read the USA Census buddy. The term Hispanic is NOT a race. Hispanics and Latinos can be of ANY race. It's has nothing to do with Spanish and Indian. A lot of Spanish speaking peoples that claim to have just Spanish and Indian often have African admixture as well since the Spanish brought in a lot of African slaves. There are lots of Spanish speaking black Hispanics and mulattoes etc and afromestizos and Zambos. Many Hispanics even have Fillipino and even Jewish Semitic admixture as well.

Mexicans and other Hispanics and Latinos were usually tabulated as white on censuses in the USA or other. The Hispanic and Latino categories came about in the 1970s and 1980s respectively through an ad hoc comittee conference and consensus and tabulating a voting bloc.

Hispanic/Latino in its usage in the USA is as flawed as lumping all U.S. Americans and other English speakers of ALL races and racial mixtures into one category and calling them Brittanic/Germanics/Anglos.

As for Leander Perez he was NOT Mexican. He was actually a Louisiana Créole. His family was from the St Benard parish and Plaquemines Parish areas which were areas that had lots of settlement of Isleños or Canarian islander immigrants or migrants. So he was a WHITE Creole man. He spoke French, French Creole, and Louisiana Spanish etc. Leander Perez was of Spaniard, French, and who knows what other ancestries.

Charlie Sheen is Cuban descent yet many know him as simply white. Andy Garcia is from Cuba but it doesn't stop him from being a WHITE man.

And many white people in the USA have black and Native American ancestors in their family tree. It doesn't stop them from being WHITE people.

As for Leander Perez yeah, he was a racist.

There are many Latinos that are racist. Colorism is rampant among Latinos too. It's rampant among Creoles too, as well as African Americans, and Asians, and in the Caribbean etc. Racism and colorism is global. It's even an issue amongst white people too.

“After World War II, a new consensus emerged in the United States and Europe that Jews had to be integrated posthumously into white Europeanness, and that the horror of the Jewish holocaust was essentially a horror at the murder of white Europeans. Since the 1960s, Hollywood films about the holocaust began to depict Jewish victims of Nazism as white Christian-looking, middle class, educated and talented people not unlike contemporary European and American Christians who should and would identify with them. Presumably if the films were to depict the poor religious Jews of Eastern Europe (and most East European Jews who were killed by the Nazis were poor and many were religious), contemporary white Christians would not find commonality with them. Hence, the post-holocaust European Christian horror at the genocide of European Jews was not based on the horror of slaughtering people in the millions who were different from European Christians, but rather a horror at the murder of millions of people who were the same as European Christians. This explains why in a country like the United States, which had nothing to do with the slaughter of European Jews, there exists upwards of 40 holocaust memorials and a major museum for the murdered Jews of Europe, but not one for the holocaust of Native Americans or African Americans for which the US is responsible.”

Well, if it helps refresh your memory you could run a search on your poster ID for "Gibson jew" and you will find 2 threads you've posted to that mention as much.

Or you could google it and read the CNN articles or many of the other quarter million options I found.

Come on dude, Kanye isn't getting picked on relative to Mel....there was tons of coverage of Mel making an arse of himself I'm more than a little shocked that you are claiming no one cared.

Why do you guys continue to ignore what actually happened?

One more time...AFTER Gibson made soft Holocaust denials and other anti Semitic statements, Evangelical Christians piled in buses and and made Passion of the Christ a runaway hit to the tune of 700 million dollars in an astoundingly quick fashion.

So you can make all the claims you want that Gibson was punished by the court of popular opinion, but I can't find any evidence of it. I mean, you're not gonna tell me that his punishment sufficed with a few threads on CD, are you?
