I don't think you were ever a republican from this post. Too far to the right is smaller government and conservatism. You must have been a conservative democrat. Anything left of center tends to go all the way socialist in time.

.

You just described the ever petulant leader of the free world but he isn't of the GOP.

.

Too much Charlie Brown adult talk going on in this post.
Name these "asinine atheists". Obama himself is a member of the UCC. Clinton is a Baptist. Rahm Emmanuel is Jewish. Harry Reid, Mormon. Nancy Pelosi, Catholic. And so on.

The majority of Buddhists in the US are Democrats, in fact the first Buddhist elected to the US Senate is a Democrat. The majority of Jews in the in the US are also Democrats. I'm sure there are atheists in the GOP.

Jews and Buddhists aren't atheists, however.

Yes people of "dark color" did vote for President Obama - and they did so because of racism.
You guys are so predictable - and obviously selective readers, since I already addressed and debunked that excuse (in both this thread and others). How do you explain the welfare percentages in places like West Virginia, Kentucky, Oklahoma, etc? You can't blame those entirely on the dark people or Obama voters, which is why you all conveniently ignore when I bring up those states. Go ahead, I'll wait while you look up your arses for an explanation! But I know it won't happen, since actual facts and logic get in the way of your anti-liberal and anti-black rants.

Here, I'll ask the question more simply for the simple-minded folks here: Do you deny that millions of conservative/Republican Americans are on welfare & food stamps? Do you deny the fact the places like CA and NY have lower percentages of recipients than TX, WV, MS, etc, despite their being waaaay more liberal-leaning? If so, you are either dishonest or incapable of reading. Even if you factored in EVERY minority and/or Democrat in those states, it still wouldn't explain these discrepancies or prove the conservative lies about liberals and welfare.

Sometimes we are... I'm a Jewish Agnostic, and my brother is culturally Jewish but hardcore Atheist.

I get your point, though.

Did you go to college? I went to three colleges, in fairly liberal towns, and was never "indoctrinated" - in fact, I only remember politics being discussed when it was relevant to a lesson/subject. Where do you hear this nonsense?

Rule #1 for Indoctrination Professors - Do NOT announce that you are indoctrinating.

LOL. But as I said, political issues weren't even DISCUSSED unless they were relevant to the lesson - and since I'm also not a stupid person, I'd have noticed if they were subtly trying to push beliefs on us. I only recall one professor who was really open about her leanings, and that merely consisted of an election (Gore 2000?) sticker on her office door. No idea how the rest leaned!

I did take one politically-charged class in graduate school, called "Intellectual Freedom Seminar," where we had debates on library-related issues of intellectual freedom... many views were expressed, and the professor just mediated without ever injecting his own thoughts (beyond maybe sharing his experiences in real-life situations). So unless we're talking about a place like UC Berkeley, I don't think this supposed indoctrination is as common as some would have us believe.

Interestingly, these claims almost always come from people without college educations - which is why I asked the other poster if they went or not. If they did go to college, I'd be interested to hear their examples of what was witnessed there.
