The war has seen it's first official skirmish. Way down in Florida the capitol building is the location of a stand off between church and state. The capitol has allowed Christmas decorations to be set up by a Christian group inside of the building, so others now want theirs put up too. A man has erected a 6 foot tall festivus pole.
Festivas isn't even a real holiday or observance. Florida officials are nuts for allowing it. They cave under PC,

It doesn't have to be. Florida allows things like nativity scenes by declaring part of the state capitol a "public forum." As such, it is simply a space for the expression of free speech.
That's not PC. That's the religious right trying to finagle a way to get Christianity onto official state property by being facetious and thus, circumvent the US Constitution. It's also other people making them eat their own argument by doing exactly what the "public forum" is supposed to be for.
To all those that don't like saying Merry Christmas, then I hope you are working without holiday pay of any type on the day that is Jesus Christ birthday.
