LOL. That is interesting because that isn't what the OP thread states. It simply references it.

I would say the thread is more like a convoluted attempt to take an interesting tech story and turn it into a Tea Party talking point. However, it's been a total fail on the OP's part.

That's the second time you've brought up the TEA Party movement.

You're the only one.

I don't see how drones and the OP's related but unfounded concern about the 4th Amendment have anything to do with the TEA Party movement. It doesn't relate to limited government, free markets or fiscal responsibility, therefore, it doesn't relate to the TEA Party movement in any way.

Obsess much?

Maybe the OP isn't a "Tea Partier", but the argument and bringing up the constitution sound like total Tea Party talking points. That's all I was getting at.

But... but... it will be expected to tip the drone who in turn will pass it back to the underpaid pizza maker at the shop who's trying to raise his family on a less-than-living-wage paid by the evil pizza shop owner!

Not in Kalifornia. All such guns will have been confiscated by the time the drones are operational. You won't be able to as much as shoot a spitball in their direction without the onboard camera detecting it and summoning the SWAT team to take you down.

I want to see what happens when my dog grabs one and prevents it from taking off... Or might I be the one calling Amazon asking for my dog back? Looks like I might need a bigger dog.

This entire notion is a pipe dream. It's so full of holes it's hilarious that people are actually serious about this. Not only will this be an accident waiting to happen, there are other problems that can't be overcome. For instance, GPS isn't that accurate so where is this thing going to leave your package? On your roof? In the street? What about people in apartments? Just leave it in front of the building and let it get stolen? What about bad weather? How about a package to heavy? How does the drone avoid people, trees, power lines and other obstacles? There is a TON more if you actually think about it. Now for the kicker....Amazon says their goal is to have the package at your door within 30 minutes of clicking complete on your order. That is downright impossible. Are they going to have shipping depots 1/4 of a mile from EVERY SINGLE address in the world? What is the range on these things carrying weight? Also, they can only carry one package at a time, is Amazon going to employ 3 billion of these things in order for every order to be at your doorstep in 30 minutes? It's pure science fiction at this point and robotic delivery trucks make more sense and is more viable than this egotistical dream.

The Iranians hacked one of our top secret stealth drones and landed it where they wanted to. I predict that 48 hours after the drone service is put into service, hackers will divert the drones to wherever they want and.......well.......you can guess the rest.

Bringing up the Constitution is not a bad thing. Getting it right is important though.
