Everybody understands who sets the minimum wage. This is just an attempt to unionize fast food workers.

You are the one indirectly comparing yourself and your "movement" to bolshevism with your veiled threats of "mobilizing" and "battle" over the worker's "right to the spread". Straight out of the bolshevik handbook.

You are against the economic freedom movement and the right of consenting adults to employ and be employed how they choose and at what wage they choose, so don't try to wrap your neo-Marxist, New Left prattle in some moralistic platitude about how poor and downtrodden the proles are because the mean, evil, gluttonous profiteering bourgeoisie won't "just share the spread".
What should have the labor movement done back in the early half of the 20th century? I think you're mistaking what you think they shouldn't do with what they can't do

Mal...you conservatives just won't be consistent no matter what.

You say that we don't need unions because people should negotiate their own deals, but now here these people are making LEGSL demands as is their right, and you're saying that they can't do that either.

In America, you have the RIGHT to ask for MORE anytime you feel like it. Whether or not you get it is another issue.

Who am I to say what a burger flipper has a right to ask for?

Listening to you advocate neo-Marxist bolshevik worker's revolution over wages.

I'm a labor supporter and use words like battle to mean a labor political one.
Labor supporter is a euphemism for commie.

How daft are you?
I am a RWNJ. I am nuttier than squirrel crap, simply because I advocate free market principles evidently.

I'm a proponent of social democracy like what nearly all other developed nations are. How is that Bolshevist?
What does that even mean? Social democracy? Sounds like Orwellian doublespeak.

I couldn't agree more. Ask.
I'll be back to see your reply right after I get another Twinkie.

Hmmm...McDonald's can pay these wages everywhere else it seems and still make a fortune. Go figure. But as usual, we should look down on our fellow Americans for wanting what Australians have.

Where McDonald's wages start near $15 an hour- MSN Money

Social Democracy is the economic model of nations like Sweden and Denmark. Isn't that more tangible than what you're advocating; anarcho-capitalism? Like Murray Rothbard? Didn't he praise Che Guevara?

And I admitted Joan Robinson was wrong as was Hayek when praising the wonderful things happening in pinochets chile.

It boggles the mind how Norway's businesses can afford to pay their workers so much, have regulatory burden, punitive taxes, a full-fledged welfare state, basically everything the average American RWNJ hates. Yet, maintain an unemployment rate of 3% (and no, it's not only about oil. That mostly affects Bergen and Stavanger, not the rest of the country that doesn't have oil exploration). You can pretty much pick a country in Europe that flies in the face of RW conventional "wisdom"

They will usually chalk it up to a homogenous population or some BS about having no illegals. It's really ridiculous when its all about how a nation allocates its resources not how many ppl love there or how homogenous the pop. is.

But yes you're right. Spot on! Nuff said
