It should be left up to the individual states to decide, just as all matters not pertaining to national defense should be.
I'm inclined to agree. However; I feel if you're old enough to go to some craphole and potentially get your a** shot off, then you should be old enough to drink.
What does drinking have to do with national defense? We made a similar argument to lower the voting age but kids getting drunk isn`t the same as kids voting.
There is plenty of time in life to kill your brain cells, I see no need to lower the age limit. I have a Nephew in the Marines, he is under 21 and every time he comes home to visit everybody takes him out and gets him drunk. I don't get it.
I hate to say it, but no. Lowering the drinking age to 18 again will just lead to an increase of drunk driving accidents and deaths. That's the reason it was raised back up to 21 years ago.
As soon as they go overseas they drink anyways. But I do think they should lower the limits. I think that if you are old enough to die for your country you should be able to drink. I know it has nothing to do with national defense, however, if people are so worried about 18 year old killing their brain cells then why not worrying about them getting shot and killed. If you are old enough going to war you are considered a man or a woman, not a child. Therefore you should be able to drink.

That maybe true. Though I just can't see myself or anyone else telling a 18 year their old enough to die for their country but not old enough to drink. Maybe we should consider raising the age one can join the military.
