]We've already got troops in Africa so this should come as no surprise. Gee! The mighty French military can't get this done by themselves? Read Hagel's statement @ GOOD SOLDIERS ORGANIZATION: Statement on Additional U.S. Support to France and the African Union in the Central African Republic

"“In response to this request, Secretary Hagel has directed U.S. AFRICOM to begin transporting forces from Burundi to the Central African Republic, in coordination with France."

It will be ferrying around African Forces by plane. This is fine.

Why don't the French transport their own troops?

The French Air Force has over 50 transport planes including C-130s and C-160s. There are also 14 areal refueling planes. Don't have enough airlift capability and areal refueling assets? Spend more on the military and less on welfare.

If Europeans want to recreate their great colonial adventures of the 19th century they should make sure they have enough logistical and transport assets to do it themselves. The Belgians and French should stop relying on the US Air Force to act as a taxi service between Europe and Africa.

Yeah, but it's for Whirled Peas, and we know this, because half-black Bush "won" the Nobel Peace Prize, ergo, it's for Whirled Peas.

It would seem that naive people cannot think 4 themselves.

The US is there to spy.

Let us count the ways.....

1] Chinese are building the Trans-Tibetan Highway Railroad and Pipeline....

2] Chinese are building the Trans-Andean Highway Railroad and Pipeline....

3] Chinese are building the African Trans-Continental Railroad

4] Chinese are building the Trans-Congo Highway, Railroad and Pipeline...

5] Chinese are building the Port Sudan Pipeline....

The Chinese are engaged in lots of nation-building....maybe the US could learn a thing or two.

If you can't handle a little bloody nose from Vlad in Romania earning $1.40/hour, Long Wang in Vietnam earning $0.90/hour, Hi Chin in China earning $0.75/hour or Batang in the Philippines earning $0.60/hour, then how in the hell are you going to deal with Mbutu?

Right now, Mbutu is earning about $0.09 per day for a 10-12 hour day.

As soon as China and Russia and Brasil and India develop sub-Saharan Africa, more US jobs will be lost, and to stop that, the US has troops in Africa to destabilize the governments. Libya is more or less one giant drone base.

Geo-strategically.....

Mircea
