I would pay off all my debt and my family's debt. I would open up a 529 accnt for all the kids in my family (small family) and I would buy property for myself and any family member who did not own property. I would roll a good chunk into a retirement package for myself and give the rest away to struggling friends who have kids.

Pay bills travel the world and probably give away 500 million to charity.

Buy banking stocks, bonds, and T-bills

That much money would ruin me. I would have to keep 10 million to live off and give the rest away somewhere, piecemeal.

Probably go door to door, middle class neighborhoods and offer to pay off their debt, buy them a new car, or give them business start-up money.

I would also give food cards to people, I don't know.

I bet the shareholders didn't care about his $50 million dollar severance.
Sounds like he turned thing around. The question is now how did he do it? If the answer is he did it by offering a superior product and service hence gained customers beating the competition while the employees benefited from the increased business as well, well then I'd say the CEO deserves a just reward and the shareholders invested wisely.

However if the answer to how he did it is cut costs by laying off employees and burdening the existing ones or hired foreign call workers or looked for ways to deny claims and cut pay outs or ways to not approve procedures then may I ask the shareholders are they sleeping well tonight knowing they profited off the misery of others?

Default I don't know what I'd do

My wife is far more sensible about money than I am. I'd let her decide.

I know that those who we love and those who love us, would greatly benefit.
