"No" is my answer to the OP's question. My opposition to Obama comes from the fact that he is the worst president in my lifetime. That would go back to Eisenhower, BTW.

The authenticity of the President's citizenship has nothing to do with any negative feelings I have about him.

It is the decisions he has made and his lack of leadership skills, along with his inexperience (which has exacerbated his lack of leadership skills) that I find disappointing.

I also am very uneasy with the people who he has surrounded himself with, in many cases.

I think he would have been a different President if he had served several terms as a Senator and learned how to work with people more effectively.

According to the Christian Science Monitor it was also done for Winston Churchill and Pope JP II.

Nobody would question that Churchill, the hero of World War II, was deserving of this honor. The pope, on the other hand, shrinks into moral insignificance next to Mandela.
