When alcohol was illegal, the bootleggers were killing each other in the streets. I don't see the booze companies and the liquor store owners doing that now. It's a legal business, just like any other.

And I don't hear about large scale violence in Holland. If the rest of Europe is still keeping drugs illegal, they're really causing the problem.

Why don't we just have government "parents" assigned to each of us. They can tell us what we can or can't do and make all of our decisions for us.

Default war on intelligence is more like it

The war on drugs and war on gun violence is being waged by the same lame legislators using a feel good strategy designed to placate the emotions of the muddled electorate.

Gun violence is downstream of gangs selling drugs, defending their territories and all your buddies who buy illegal drugs to finance the cycle of violence.

Doing more of the same is insanity...almost as worthless as expanding the school day and year to have your kids provide an excuse for teachers union to get more cash and your kids to get no smarter.

When you have no respect for laws, so why would you have respect for "parents"?

Save it crux. It's like beating a dead horse. Jesus in his time was considered a criminal as well. As were his followers. But hey... it's the law, right?

I have no respect for unjust laws. There's a difference.

You obviously have no respect for the law, the real law (what our country was founded on) by all of your insane, baseless rants and half truths.

There is a big difference between the falsely accused, and an actual criminal.

Jesus was accused of crimes he did not commit, while you guys openly admit you violate laws routinely. Jesus was innocent, but you are a criminal.

So, basically we have a bunch of criminals demanding the rest of the nation to legalize their crimes.
