1.1 million people signed up for health insurance on the exchange but I wonder how many lost their insurance due to the unaffordability of health insurance under the ACA? If more lost their health insurance then those who gained new insurance then this is not such good news. In fact, it's nothing short of a disaster.

If you turn to the back pages of checkout line rags (er...previously) you'll find ads for really REALLY cheap "health insurance" that turns out to be no coverage worth mentioning.

Cancelled.

Then you look into it further and you find that the insurance someone else has had a limit of, say, $50,000 for the life of the policy.

Cancelled.

Then you look some more and see that pre-existing conditions are not covered.

Cancelled.

Or that certain treatments are not covered.

Cancelled.

6 million policies cancelled...but...oh yeah...

Why don't y'all just wait and see how many of those enrollments are actually valid and how many actually pay the first month's premium necessary to put the policies in effect before you declare success or failure.

OP, your obviously partisan glee is horribly premature, especially in light of the perhaps more losing healthcare than gaining it. But partisanship is normally fraught with fantasy on both sides of the aisle.

My Ex had cancer and a great BCBS policy through the state high risk pool.
Her program was discontinued and now her Obama policy will increase her costs at least 20% a year.

Those were not Junk policies.

But as a 60yo man I do now have maternity. Thank god.

What happens to people like my mom? She has no computer access, and will never get one. Will there be offices that she can go to in person? And what happens if she just never does enroll? She is on social security, will they penalize her?
