The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey is financially self-sustaining. It's operations are funded by fees, tolls, and rents collected by the properties it owns such as bridges, tunnels, airports, and World Trade Center.
I did not say this will sink him but it should give those folks reservations. Government should not be about settling scores. Is he going to do this as president? Close bridges in the states that did not vote for him? I do not even know that Christie himself had knowledge that this was going to occur, but it was his appointee that was in charge. I would like to see Christie outraged about what his appointee did instead of just trying to avoid the topic. His lack of outrage is what makes me believe he did know.

This is the problem, any time they create a state authority they get filled with political hacks with no background. Christie removed the two appointees but he still has not accepted any blame or explained what transpired, this is how small things grow larger. This is an abuse of power by his friends, he should own up.
