Okay it's time for an explanation that even you would even understand (HOPEFULLY!)
One person can fake being heterosexual by pretending they have attractions to the opposite when they have attractions to the same sex. You can choose not to live a lie or embrace it. But you can't choose what makes you have an erection or makes your vagina wet. If you can do that, then you're one talented person.
Attraction is the basis for having sex with anyone. You can't have sex with someone that you're not attracted to. That's a simple fact of human biology

Because there are people close to them that will shun them if they ever come out. The world is full of hateful people who would disown their own children if they come out gay.
