It will certainly seem like "[T]he Sky Is Falling" when the cataclysmic storms rain down upon us. The only thing to be done at this late date is to prepare for the consequences; which, ultimately, is mass population displacement and starvation.
Gee..Talk about being paranoid.

And you morons rail against religious people for not accepting science. What would you call blanket denial of any data that contradicts your preconceived notions where this MMGW stuff is concerned, cuz it ain't science.
The problem is you are scientifically illiterate, and project your inability to comprehend science into hostility towards those who do.

It is the basic human response amongst the climate change deniers.

You do understand the science behind climate change, and I am impressed with your analysis, however grave your predictions may be.

A good rule of thumb in discussions like this one is if someone mentions Al Gore during the discussion, or uses cooler winter temperature averages to dispel climate change, they have absolutely no idea what climate change even is and the chances of them ever understanding are slim, as they are likely already indoctrinated in "science" by the likes of Rush Limbaugh and FOX "News".

I find it pointless to try and remind them that weather extremes, be they heavier snowfall and extreme cold in one part of the country versus above average temperatures and increased drought in another, is all related to climate change and symptomatic of the consequences of a changing climate.

Why are you posters bashing the OP ?

The consequences of global warming is supposed to be warmer/hotter temps for us in the US.

The OP showed that is not happening.

Again, you show no knowledge of the topic either.

If someone starts a thread about climate change and tries to dispel science, and fails miserably, then he only is seeking the support of those with no knowledge of the topic they created a thread about.

It plays well in this forum, no doubt, as there are alot of scientifically illiterate posters.

Do you know what month it is? It is December. Do you know what last month was? It was November.

Quote:
Last month was the warmest November since modern temperature record keeping began in 1880, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration announced today in its latest State of the Climate report, which summarizes climate-related news from around the world.

With a combined land and ocean surface temperature of 56.6 degrees Fahrenheit, November 2013 also was the 345th consecutive month – and the 37th November in a row – with a global temperature higher than the 20th century average, the NOAA report added.

Mr. odanny:

The global warming deniers have politicized the matter, as if science should be determined by vote and subject to sole dissenting veto. That’s not the way it works: the true test of science is empirical evidence - not political correctness. The fact that there is a lack of consensus of opinion is inapposite. See "The cold truth about climate change," by Joseph Romm, Salon (February 27, 2008). As Dr. Romm put it: "What matters is scientific findings - data, not opinions."

They don't have to be. I doubt the NRA is interested in the same thing as many others but it would be fair to look at any one sided report they put out as possibly biased also.

Perhaps you could perform a similar study concerning the organizations of your choice if their funding interests you so much.
It doesn't interest me. It's pretty much a non issue outside of laughing at those predicting the end times and demanding we all repent before it's too late.

We will note......the person who wrote the paper we are discussing mentions Al Gore.

So what's your point, exactly? This survey is being mean and picking on right-wingers, boo hoo hoo? I see no issue with the survey other than it reveals things that make denialists look bad.
